Good quality science, Damasio is respected within the field, and although some faults can be found with the book they tend to be relatively minor (as such). Used in a course on critical thinking at Skövde University in the cognitive science program, with Malcolm Gladwell's "Blink" serving as a bush ripe for picking the massive grapes of broken logic and bad science which were on offer. I second Damasio’s book, Descartes’ error.

It's an amazing book and anyone interested in the human brain, psychology and behaviour will surely find it interesting, i reckon. It's really amazing how despite our neocortex and rationality it's still the emotions that truly decide what we do.
