Nobody takes it seriously and so it isn’t really ripping anybody off. No harm, no foul.

About Mr. Hope, he must be the greatest salesperson ever. Either that, or it’s proof that people will throw their money away on anything. Seriously, there’s no way he can own the moon is there?

I agree with Elephant Child. What is the point in owning it? You can’t sell it for real estate property. You can’t rent it out to people. I mean, why doesn’t she buy something a little more realistic like Mars. NASA was planning on sending people on a one-way trip to Mars. That way, you can demand rent or sell plots of Mars to the colonialists. Hmmm…that gives me an idea…BACK OFF! MARS IS MINE!!!

While it is true that anyone can lay claim to owning the sun or moon, what good does it do you.
You would have to literally stake your claim, actually go there, fence off a bit & put up a sign saying keep off my land.
That’s not feasible as far as the moon is concerced & it’s impossible to do with the sun, this woman has more money than sense.
Do you think she’d like to buy a lamp ? It’s magic !

Haha creative, but to see that guy makes all that money selling spots on the moon makes me angry. All the proceeds of sales of any inter-space planet should be fr charity and charity only, not for some corporate lunatic to get rich and powerful.
