Hey just wondering why there was no mention of ‘The Events’ the casino show… where Derren abruptly ended the show when it went wrong…. I can’t even find any mention of it on this website.. unless I’m missing something… is it one of those ‘sweep it under the carpet’ shows….. I think it would of been better to say something about it???

Great show.
The documentary was nicely made and entertaining. I loved the shots of Derren in the closed off pool and his father’s old office – it felt like the most personal part of the programme. It was also fun to see the old University room and to hear how Derren’s voice has changed since the first Mind Control special.
Oxford Theatre in April. Literally cannot wait to have my brain fucked by Derren, the genius.
Watching the whole of each and every trick and stunts you have done on Channel 4. Enigma is my favourate by a mile.

The Heist made you both awsome and terrifying! And the doc was very interesting. I started doing magic also because I’d be slightly picked on, and it did make a terrible difference on who I am today, I believe.
I also had a school project last year, we e-mailed your staff. We did the Person Swap and other stuff. It felt amazing just to be able to “swap”, I can’t imagine what you feel on the curtain call of your stage shows!

I would love to see you live but my circumstances at present mean I do not have the funds to buy a ticket and attend. I’m sure I will at some point. But for the time being I shall revel in your antics from my sofa, whether with a DVD or a read of Trick Of the Mind. But in this household you remain omnipotent.

Brilliant nite love derrans work
Can’t wait to see Derren in Oxford in the new show. Each time I see him I feel on a high afterwards. Met him at the Cheltenham Festival and he is a genuinely nice guy. Took time to talk even though there were loads waiting to get an autograph. Not sure on the artifacts around his house though, they would probably freak me out.
I loved the Derren Brown night, am a big fan. Comes across as such a lovely and extremely intelligent man. Please think about doing a few dates in Nottingham, would love to come see the show!

I have been fascinated by Derren the first time I saw him on TV at 10 years of age, and have continued to follow him since. Watching the documentary tonight I was amazed to see what a brilliant artist he is too and wondering if any of his work is available anywhere? Note, I am a 19 year old student so could probably never afford it but I can live in hope. Thanks to anyone that can help

I haven’t just had a Derren Brown night, I seem to be having a Derren Brown week! I was given your newest book for Christmas and read it in two sittings but saved the last chapter because I was sad that it was finished. I’ve finished it now and I really, really enjoyed it and I am going to have another read of your first book now too. I’m really looking forward to coming to see you for the second time in March. I managed to get my boyfriend seats on the front row in Liverpool so you can keep a look out for us! I’ll be the wide eyed and awe struck one… just like everyone else!!

The documentary was a real treat. Loved seeing your home etc, & plus I found a lot of it quite moving, especially when delving into your school past. Made me reminisce about my own schooldays along with you.
I was more than happy The Heist won. I voted for a few as I couldn’t decide, so I spread my bets as it were!
And as for Enigma…completely & utterly jaw-droppingly good. I saw the show live a few times, and while I feel that anything you see live does lose an element of atmosphere when viewed on your TV screen, it doesn’t lose any of the sheer wonder of the spectacle itself. And that spectacle was a show we all saw called Enigma.
Congratulations on your decade with Channel 4, Derren. You’re the best.

I think you are a fantastic showman and brilliant magician but I can’t tell whether you believe in things like eg. ‘chi energy’ or not. I do and wish you wouldn’t decry it as I don’t think that is good for people. I can’t help thinking that is all part of retaining your mystery and maybe you do believe in it really???? Would love to know but shouldn’t think I ever will….pity…..you could be so good for people with your talents.

A brilliant evening! I loved the documentary. I really enjoyed seeing your apartment and some of the places from your past. Your parrot Rasputin is a little darling, but it was a bit weird seeing him on the stuffed macaw’s head! It was also great to see Enigma again and needless to say I still don’t know how some of the illusions were done. I’m currently reading Confessions of a Conjuror and I’m looking forward to seeing your Svengali show when it comes out. Hopefully Messiah will be repeated at some point.

really enjoyed the evenings viewings, not many things in life are a surprise but I love not being able to work out just how Derren does it. Its great to also hear (and my daughter was inspired – shes 10) when Derren said that it was the bullies who went on to have boring jobs and its the others who get to do the interesting jobs. Was a treat to see a bit of the personal side to a very private, clever guy too. Am in the process of trying to book tickets for forthcoming tour, really hope to be able to go, pity my daughter is too young to go. Keep up the fun and mystery xxx

I have watched your shows on C4 since you first came on and bought all your DVD’s and books. For the whole 10 years have been, in my opinion, one of the best magicians around right now. You bring something new to the table, its just a plus that your such a great person, funny and witty too.
I hope you always continue to be the best at what you do and come up with some really interesting ideas for live and tv shows. You have a really great team working with you and your family seem lovely, you really deserve to be at the top of your league at what you do…your Out Of This World. Bring on Svengali!
I’ve read the first book. It is very good. Unfortunately it seems from Derren’s experiences that the only cure for Christianity is to be really clever. I don’t think we’re on a winner with that one.

I was intrigued by the clip containing the Ouija board. Presumably related to the devising of a stunt. Why not make it a centerpiece for one of your investigations? It occurs to me that a tumbler doesn’t move of its own accord. If one person places their finger on the glass, their muscle power must be moving it. If two or more
persons place a finger on the vessel, the prime mover is masked. However, a container fitted with strain gauges and Bluetooth could transmit to a remote computer. Thereby displaying the input of each player. What would happen to the output, if the participants where blindfolded? Ect.ect.ect.

loved the Derren Brown evening, after just finishing and enjoying your book immensely, it was interesting to see some of the places that you described in it.
i must admit that initially i thought the viewers would choose “Hero at 30,000 ft” because i think that show touched a lot of people who could relate to being an average Joe but i can see that “the heist” was filmed so well as to draw people in for another viewing.

Well what can i say, i ended up watching the program by mistake really, you know, nothing on the other side, but absolutely loved it…. great house, with all your mad things….. i have watched you before on TV,many times over the years, but now I really like you. The one thing I didn’t know was that you painted, You are AMAZING … i have just bought the book from amazon.

Did you have practise or does it just like… come naturally? You include like every detail, in this painting loads (!!!!!) of wrinkles and you are like sooooooo amzingly, fantasticly brilliant!
