So if the religion question of the census is used to direct tax funds to each religion where did all the money for the Jedi go?

Everyone is assuming it’s all a big joke but in the spirit of Dischordianism I’d suggest the Jedi are no more ridiculous than any of the other religions.

Also who is to say that the people who responded to the census as Jedi do not genuinely believe in it as a religion? If there are any genuine Jedi out there they have been completely dismissed without a second thought and robbed of whatever money the goverment gives religions to spend on whatever religions spend money on.

What about the Pastafarians ?
How are they going to get funding for their eye patches & hooks if they don’t acknowledge that they have been touched by The Great Flying Spaghetti Monster’s Noodley Appendage on their census forms ?

Why is our government funding already rich religions anyway, I thought they were supposed to be skint.

Just because a religion is not a common one..or your religion does not mean it does not exist. People have many ways of communing with “God” or the “Force” that exists beyond the human experience. If those who were filling out the form meant no religion they would’ve put “no religion”. I’m just wondering how many put Sith..:)

in the previous US census, there were something like 250k people who entered “jedi knight” in response to the “religion” question.

Err, no, it does not mean this at all, see the ONS website:
