To all the DB fans who have posted here and who, instead of shooting from the hip, have take the time to find out a bit more about Trevor and the background to all of this, thank you. I chose to train with Trevor because of his mastery of Cognitive Hypnotherapy, his excellent and highly effective therapeutic approach to which he's completely dedicated. In the years since then I (and many others) have witnessed Trevor's personal integrity in action, through a variety of challenging situations the like of which inevitably arise when someone fronts their own approach. So, thanks again DB fans, your fairness is much appreciated.

I trained at the Quest Institute, Trevor is one of the most genuine human beings out there.

Louise - I don't call my clients 'patients', they are clients, if they choose to train with Quest they become my colleagues, I have ex-clients who have become friends. I am not better than my clients, I act as their guide through troubled times but I am not their therapist once they get the outcome they are looking for, we are equals.

I have contacted Chloe for guidance with clients with similar problems to hers, she is a genuine and caring therapist, her experiences make her perfect for the job. Many are grateful for the help we give them, and this is all thanks to Trev.

I hope you both get that cuppa. It would definitely be one in the eye for the irresponsible journalist and his paper.

There are high standards of journalism, then there are Evening Standards. Who can forget famous exclusives like the definitely-not-photoshopped iraqi crowds, '45 minutes from attack', etc.

(Would be great if the reporter was hypnotised and being manipulated for fiendishly-clever publicity...)

As the 'ex-client' in question, I want to give my side of that part of the story! Without Trevor and Cognitive Hypnotherapy I would not be alive today. Fact. Meeting him changed my life, and now, having trained with him to become a Cognitive Hypnotherapist myself, I help other people change their lives for the better. I trust Trevor implicitly and I owe him my life. Yes, he is my 'ex-therapist', but now (and far more importantly) I consider him to be my colleague, my mentor and my friend.
I truely hope that Trevor and Derren do get to have coffee together - I have a feeling they would get on brilliantly!

I used to work as a journalist. Things were great until our original editor left and a biased editor replaced her. The paper went from being a respected piece of journalism to being a biased piece of trash. Heck, the editor editing a couple of quotes in MY interview with someone (without proper [ ] or telling me) and the interviewee was upset b/c the paper made him sound like a Southerner from the U.S. when he was a Northerner. Or, imagine a Londoner doing an interview and the editor changes some of his words to make him sound Geordie without using [ ]. I confronted the editor and he just shrugged it off! After my contract was up, I decided not to renew it and I took a different job offer. I love journalism, but sometimes it can be a bias piece of trash.

This is not the first time that the Evening Standard have done this kind of thing. a close friend of mine's family were victimised because of a wholly innacurate article (accompanied with photoshopped pictures). The article resulted in my friend's family being spat at and having dog shit put through their letter box. Plus death threats.

I implore anyone who feels angry or upset or any negative emotion as a result of reading anything in that rag to take a step back and think 'is it possible that this might be full of lies'. Better still, just don't read it in the first place.

Incedentally, my friends father took them to the press complaints commission and won the case outright.
