This week, Royal Mail released a special set of stamps featuring some of the world’s most famous wizards, witches and enchanters, from Morgan le Fay to Albus Dumbledore.

And before you ask – no, Derren isn’t included. All of the above wizards are of course completely fictional.

Imagine a Derren Brown stamp – nobody would dare open their mail!
Cool!!!
postmodernity in action??
Ogg but not Weatherwax?
Is there a Derren one?
I can’t believe you said that they are all fictional characters; Merlin, now he was a legend!
hn… I always thought Derren was a figment of my imagination…
pffttt we need them to do Derren stamps they’d be far better
xxx
problem is you wouldn’t wanna ever use them you’d wanna keep them
lol
derren s/b glad he’s not included–whadda fugly bunch!
wooow were do you get ???????????????/
i like the lord voldemort one!
No Jesus? I’m disappointed.
The second one looks like my boss. The witch.
What’s Aslan doing there? He’s clearly a deity, and not a wizard.of any kind. Wrong category.
Definitely missing the greatest stamp ever made, one of Derren.
These are great! But maybe next time they should do a magical set of ‘real-life’ magicians & wizards…..
LC x
Apart from the obvious omission of Derren, the other glaring ommission is Gandalf from Lord of the Rings… I’m guessing there were copyright issues with the movie people. Maybe Derren could quickly scribble a long white beard on his portrait of Ian McKellen and raise some extra revenue from it?
And while we’re at it, what supernatural powers does the Queen have that I wasn’t previously aware of? She’s on all of them…
But Derrens not a Wizard…I thought he was a fairy?…someone had to say it.
MrCheese, they said “magical”. If you ask the Christians in the southern U.S., Jesus would NEVER dabble in magic, LOL.
George, careful with the fairy comment or you might wake up in Morocco
.
I am soooooooooooo jealous of these stamps! Maybe I should write my buddies in Britain and see if they can mail me a few stamps. Or, maybe I can use it as an excuse to move back to England.
Merlin looks somewhat like James Randy.
