To be fair, if you think about it, electromagnetic forces are quite amazing anyway, without them having anything to do telekinesis or any other quackery. Einstein referred to “spooky action at a distance” when discussing how one object could induce movement in another without touching it. What’s remarkable is that people regard that as normal and take it for granted, without even realizing it, and yet spend their time searching for mysteries elsewhere, even though there’s one staring them right in the face. How *exactly* does one object induce movement in another without touching it? We still don’t really understand how that works.

Love it! I must have missed this in science lessons at school but am so looking forward to ‘tricking’ my baby girl in believing I have powers when she’s old enough!!! Knowledge is power! Must be what it feels like to be in the magic circle!!

I’m only posting this here but it applies to all 7:
everyone here who posts that they believe in ridiculous things like telekinesis, psi-energy, and ghosts do nothing but insult Derren Brown’s intelligence (a very well-researched and educated man) and soils any dignity the human psyche could have.
The man is trying to show you that you’re being LIED to and yet you continue to BELIEVE immaterial and unprovable hogwash over hard fact, science, and the collapse of something as temporary and volatile as your “beliefs”.
There’s not a mite of hope for any of the “non-believers” of Science. Enjoy your ignorance, in a world where you are but a leaf in the uncontrollable breezes. I’m quite happy with enlightenment & the MUNDANE nature of everyday life. I’m not afraid of my world being explicitly NORMAL.

haha Andy i totally agree. I can blow bubbles off my tongue and I’m contemplating Britains Got talent.. lol. If I could perform telekinesis i would certainly not be sat at home with my mates, a rizla and a jug. What an idiot.

I know what you mean. I’m also in possession of several talents which could make me rich beyond my wildest dreams with zero expenditure of effort, but I’d much rather use them make my stoned friends say ‘dude!’ than to pay off my mortgage.

It’s the ‘eyes on you’ that I fear, it’s something I perform with my friends and keep quiet, I don’t want to have to make a million dollars in proving that it’s possible, neither have everyone I meet only know me for being someone who can perform telekenises. I fear it because you need to be aware and if I have eyes on me and i’m under the pressure of a one time chance I might start by taking too long and then just give up on myself, it’s really hard and takes alot of consentration. It’s hard enough to make a small ball of air move a rizla let alone anything else – and I said I do it under a measuring jug so nothing can get at it
