Due to the postal strikes we will be holding back the posting of items.

We have had so many losses, delays and foul ups via her Majesties service that we decided to hold back during the strikes.ร‚ย We have seen delays of 2 months on some items and we are striving to get things to you. At the moment we’re averaging 10-15 days for a 1st class delivery – we expect this to increase.

If you have ordered anything more than 3 weeks ago and not received anything please email us on

We are very sorry about this and are hoping it will all go away soon. Please accept our full apologies, please mount all blame on Phillis for everything and not Derren, Coopsร‚ย or Abeo (they are just too lovely).

Anyone entering in to the (now not so) hidden competition should email Lost at Sea for a temporary poster number and an entry form.

The royal mail are rubbish, and getting worse, the strikes are just a tip of the iceberg.
I don’t know what could be done about it, other than use a different company to send stuff, but most only deal with big companies and not letters/small items. ๐Ÿ™

– DHL quoted us ร‚ยฃ42 per item! ๐Ÿ˜€ – Phillis

Is is too late to enter into the competition? ๐Ÿ™

Msg from Abeo: Nope it’s not too late to enter, you need a poster. If you already have one email me at and ill tell you how to enter. If you want to buy a poster to enter, do so and drop an email to for a temporary code to sign up with. ๐Ÿ™‚

I’d recommend coming to Ireland and shipping everything from here, you could set up shop in Dublin – An Post is actually fairly reliable… but then you would still fall foul of the strikes trying to ship to the UK, so maybe not.

Darn, I almost had a good reason for getting you all to Dublin!!

TNT is still running. I’ve seen pics. I imagine UPS is as well. And Fed Ex. But everything that Fed Ex carries ends up on an island with Tom Hanks.

October 23, 2009 at 4:35 pm

Aww Phillis, how can you think any of this is your fault? Or indeed anyone else? We know who’s to blame here!

We all know you’re doing your absolute best and bless you for feeling the need to apologise in the way you have.
I hope all these strikes are sorted out soon (I fear not).

Take care,

Ms G says:

Is that a trypical standard brittish excuse for sending stuff too late? I heard a few more brits about this, whereas we get swift deliveries from others in the UK. You must be on the black list .. or it is the criminal inside of those who work at the postal services … who pick their presents on a daily bases (ow, another from brown towers .. let me see … eheheh .. ) or the way brown tower people look upon time causes this delay. Scientists are working on this problem. Don’t worry.

Why not try I’ve used them for heavy stuff as they’re miles cheaper then royal mail or even most couriers.

‘her Majesties service’ – Good God, what, there’s more than one? And it STILL isn’t working properly? Sheesh. Pffft. *sigh*

But I won’t blame you for that, Derren, since you didn’t write it. Apparently.

Im kind of confused, can I buy a poster so that I can enter the competition? And then what do I do? Is this cheating?

Life’s big questions…

And also, how often are they being bought, because it will take me about 3 weeks to save up lol ๐Ÿ™‚

You can buy a poster to enter the competition. Once purchased drop me an email ( and i’ll tell you how to enter. However it’s advisable to check if the competition is still running by then if you are not going to be purchasing for a few weeks ๐Ÿ™‚
