Derren hosts an evening of 3D magic, as part of C4’s 3D night. From the Science Museum in London, Derren wryly introduces footage of some of the world’s leading magical performers. Derren says: ‘This was the first time I got to be silly. It was barely scripted.”

On live television, Derren predicted the National Lottery. This was the first of four ambitious ‘Events’, each with its own theme. The shows were: How to Predict the Lottery, How to Control the Nation (in which Derren stuck viewers to their seats – including a few people who made the news by remaining stuck all weekend), How to be a Psychic Spy, and How to Take Down a Casino. The series was nominated for Best Entertainment at both the 2010 Broadcast Awards and the 2011 National Television Awards.

Derren offers the nation a foolproof way of predicting the winner of a horse race. Again and again he openly predicts the winner for a single mum from London and she wins fairly each time. Will she put her life savings on one final horse and in return, be let into the secret?
