Can’t get past page 3! Says I’ve put too much writing in a box, but even if I only put one character in the box it still won’t send. Getting stressed :( Can’t even go back to save my previous answers! Can anyone point me to contact information? x

Peter says:

This message keeps coming up when i try to submit the form, I’m definitely not over the word limit on any of my answer though – “There was a problem with your submission.
We were unable to edit entry #4594. This usually occurs when too much text has been entered into paragraph fields. Please try to trim your entry, or contact our support department.” Any Suggestions please?

Timo: There’s a drop-down menu on the form that lets you select your country, so I’m assuming it’s not British-only.

Mark says:

After clicking ‘Next’ on Page 3 it says:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

What you can try:

It appears you are connected to the Internet, but you might want to try to reconnect to the Internet.

Retype the address.

Go back to the previous page.

Most likely causes:
•You are not connected to the Internet.
•The website is encountering problems.
•There might be a typing error in the address.

What can I do???

Msg from Abeo: Sounds like your internet connection keeps dropping out?

Berber Anna says:

Mark, I filled it out in Firefox yesterday and it worked perfectly fine. Maybe you need to try opening it in another browser? If that doesn’t work, Abeo provided a link to the people who support it just a few posts up.

Chris says:

I ran into the same problems as everybody else, but there is a solution. When Derren is involved, I’m not going to assume that the “problems” were not somehow deliberate, so I’m not about to state my solution. I will say that I am worthless with computers and that it took me an extra few hours to implement. Good luck to all!

Am I the only one who became a little concerned when getting to the next of kin question? What is Derren planning to do with us?

I would recommend to everyone that they save their answers in a Word document as they go along just in case the thing crashes. Just finished redo-ing my entire application. Good luck to all!

Kathy says:

Hey,
I’ve been having the same problems with the word limits even though my answers are way below the limits said. I got in touch with the wufoo people and they came back with:

“Hi Kathy, sounds like there’s an issue with the form or perhaps the form is reaching the storage limit. Please contact the person or organization that has sent you this form and let them know of this issue. They’ll need to contact us directly for support at http://wufoo.com/support so that we can access their account and form setup.

Jen”

Not sure what to do next?

I have not filled any boxes too much and have trimmed like crazy. I contacted the Wufoo support desk and they said that this was not an issue they could deal with and said that it would be supported by whomever made the questionnaire.
What should I do?

Jason Rainbird says:

On the final page, I had the same “unable to edit entry #7145″ issue. I’ve contacted wufoo as suggested and their lightning fast response was…

“You have reached the support desk of Wufoo.com, a company that helps people easily create web forms to collect information over the internet. You may be trying to contact someone who has used our services, but you would need to contact them directly with any questions or comments you may have.”

What can you suggest, Abeo?

Abeo says:

Hi all,

We’ve been in contact with Wufoo (the people who run the forms) and they’ve made a few suggestions which we are trying.

Please have another go and let us know if it’s still failing, I’d strongly suggest keeping your answers in a word/text document as you go along in case the same happens again.
I’d also suggest perhaps trying with another browser (such as Google Chrome).

If it does fail again, can you email me letting us know which browser – admin@derrenbrown.co.uk

Thanks all :)

April 26, 2012 at 12:36 pm
Jason Rainbird says:

Rather than stuggle with the form, may we simply mail you our answers? It’s the information that’s the important thing rather than the method of delivery?

Hello, this isn’t a comment on this post as such. I would like to subscribe to this blog, so I get notified when there are new entries. However, when I click, on any post, on the ‘Subscribe’ word and icon at the top right of the post, I am instead directed to the comments. Would be very grateful if you could tell me how to get round this – or simply use the email address I have given and subscribe me straightaway. As there doesn’t appear to be a ‘Contact Us’ section on the blog, I’m not sure where else to mention this. Thanks,

Is it strange to anyone else that we’re getting a four digit error message which changes for each person? or is it randomly assigned to each application form?

Maarten Jacobs says:

Some of the form do not match with the description below them.
For instance on the last page there is a box underneath the question ‘what made you apply for this show?’
It says that you have 200 words for that question. I made all the questions in words (because the first time the browser crashed and I lost all my entries) and when I paste the answer of 112 word into the box it gets cut-off after 47 words or something. This probably was the case in other questions as wel.

What to do now??

I submitted the application form but forgot to fill in one of the questions. The question had a red star next to it so I’m not sure why it let me submit my application. Anyway, should I resubmit it with all the questions answered? Is that ok? I’m not trying to apply twice. Is there another way to get that answer to where ever it needs to go? Thanks.

Tim Baber says:

I always think of the woman in the bag having to do an escapology act under the water, or the poor guy who seemed inoffensive but earned the role of a performer;s dummy. Youth can survive such without demur, and the girl who drove inattentively was seized by her own “accident” which evokes fears of being unable to act but only perceive some sort of degradation. Yet, and yet, to achieve anything, so much of Derrens work mimics the real world where one learns from trauma. I just hope this stays in the world of a slap ot punch in the face rather than the world of torture others write about so evasively. Some have the resilience to suffer and learn, or suffer and teach, but I am closer to the world of the lazy, feckless, unable to commit sap who, when the first pains of birth begin, feints.

Help Abeo!
I’m having the same trouble with the application form as everyone above. Spent forever on it making it the best i could and i’m devastated it’s not working. On page 4 it won’t let me write more than a word without coming up with ‘there was a problem with your submission’! It won’t be worth sending if i have to cut my answers as much as it wants. There was a comment above that asked if we could email you our answers, you said you’d find out. It would be much easier if that was possible, could you reply and let me know? I’d be very thankful. It’s just i’m freaking out in case the application closes, I’ve been waiting so long to catch an open application for one of Derren’s shows. For me it’s failing on an aol browser,
will try filling it out on other browsers.
Thanks
Leannex

I came to see the Infamous tour in Southampton (April 11). Derren is my biggest hero, and I found myself incredibly lucky enough to be up on stage with him. Derren was as genuine and charming as I'd always hoped (which proved a contrast to my nervous and shaky demeanour). He is a brilliant showman and an all-round pleasure to watch. The show was sensationally mind-blowing - I'll be sure that I never miss another. Thank you Derren, for everything that you do. Sorry I was so shaky! Grace

Really looking forward to tonight in Southaampton, bought tickets for husband, Terry's birthday. It's not today, it was in February.)

Derren Brown, For my daughter's birthday gift in November of 2013, I gave her a ticket to your show. For Christmas, I gave her a round trip ticket to London from Pensacola, Florida, our home. On my birthday, I flew from the Middle East, where I'm teaching English, to join her. On the 25th of March, you gave us your best. It was the highlight of our First English Spring Tour. No matter how far apart we are in the world or mindset, we both agree...we have no idea how you do it! And we like it that way.

I saw Derren at Leeds on 25th and I am still - 4 days on - utterly blown away by his incredible talent and incredible show! I have never ever had the pleasure of seeing him live before, but I will never miss an opportunity again. Someone as talented as Derren Brown is a MUST SEE. He's mesmerising, spellbinding, inspiring, jaw droppingly amazing. This experience is something I will take away with me forever and a day! Thank you SO much for bringing this show to Leeds! But goin forward, if travel roun te country to see you - you are THAT good :)
