NEW TOUR DATES ANNOUNCED

Posted in Derren Brown News

Posted by Derren Brown News October 6, 2009 at 12:23 pm

Thanks to all of you who emailed in asking if DB will be coming to your town. Sadly AUSTRALIA is not on the circuit as it’s not quite on the way to Torquay as some might have tried to convince us.

Just a reminder that the performance is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Where tickets are not yet on sale the dates are subject to some change however additional venues and dates may be added.

This is the second leg of the tour that started in 2009 and the show, Enigma, is the same show and will be performing in theatres where it has not been seen previously as well as going back to some theatres where it appeared in 2009.

We will announce all updates on here – so if you want to know if your town is included – keep checking the Tour Page as this will be the first place the updates will be announced. Sadly we cannot relay any tour information about venues over the email.

Oh and YES – Derren will be at the stage door on as many nights as humanly (DB?) possible to sign your books, DVD’s and body parts. Coops will be there too so feel free to molest him as much as you like. You may also be lucky enough to catch a tiny glimpse of Ian and an eyeful of the incredibly gorgeous Jen (do not touch!).

Any chance of returning to London at some point? Gutted to have missed it first time round, I blame school for filling all my free time then with revision! :(

October 6, 2009 at 1:08 pm
Noel Lackey says:

Blimey, the O2 in Dublin for three nights, that place is huge, not sure if this is a good thing, it is far too big for a show like Derrens, also just a big wide open space, so don’t feel it will be intimate enough to generate a good athmosphere, hope I am wrong

October 6, 2009 at 1:12 pm
Hannah Derbyshire says:

Phillis – any news on when the unreleased tickets are going to be released? I assume we just keep an eye out on twitter? Thanks :D

Manchester would be great if possible. So many students here, I am sure it would be enormously popular, plus lots of venues. Even the music college has an opera theatre that would be quite good! There is always MEN arena too : ) .

I have a fondness of the letters B and D (apart or together in any particular order). Also I have no issues with gambling addictions, tom foolery, long 9 player chess games or smelly and cut up feet.

Please contact ASAP if you think you’re the right candidate.

Many kind regards,

October 6, 2009 at 3:05 pm

Already have my 4th row tickets for Crawley (as it seems you’re swerving my town Worthing this year) but hey, Crawley is not far at all from here so I’m still happy! :)

As to whether I shall meet Mr B at the stage door depends on a) my friend, who I’m dragging along and may not want to, b) my friend, who will also happen to be driving that night and may want to get away quick and c) myself, whether my shyness will rear its ugly head or not! :(

Aaah well….am still SOOOOO much looking forward to next Feb 24th!

Hannah Derbyshire says:

@LairyT – no problems :). To tell the truth, I was waiting around too, but I emailed the venue who then replied saying ‘tickets are on sale now’. I had a minor heart attack, then called them. The lady at the box office said she couldn’t believe people were calling already! :).

October 7, 2009 at 9:46 am
Emily says:

Ha ha Mandi nice work! Of course I shall sign your petition because I am one of those Aussies who absolutely LOVES Derren Brown and most certainly believes that Torquay IS on the way to wherever it is that he’s going, it’s just not the most efficient route!

October 7, 2009 at 10:55 am
LairyT says:

Now I’ve booked Leicester, I have two tickets for Ipswich going spare for the Saturday night if anyone is interested. Not out to make a profit only want what I paid for them. If anyone interested please DM me on Twitter for more info. Hope I’m allowed to post this, as don’t want to put them on Ebay and make a profit from DB as that is not what it’s about. xx

October 7, 2009 at 12:28 pm

Hi…
I think i found this site at right. we were making a plan for next vacation, should be not much expensive and short. Thank you so much for helping us.

October 7, 2009 at 12:47 pm
Dmaco says:

LairyT – what seats are your tickets? im goin sat night but if they are better then my seats id love to swap lol!!

October 7, 2009 at 1:22 pm
LairyT says:

@Dmaco – it was Row W in the stalls, third block across from left, on the right hand aisle as you look at the seating plan. It is back row so prob not better than yours unless you are up in the circle way back or something. I was hoping to appeal to someone who needs them when the venue is sold out nearer the time(which it pretty much is). ;0)

October 7, 2009 at 2:13 pm

I rang bradford as nothing is showing on website but I have called bradford before when no info was showing in years gone by and they have sold them to me.
They told me that they wont be on sale for a few more weeks yet.
Well thats all a bit vague for my liking so no doubt we will be on first name terms soon enough!
They will be sick of hearing my voice by the time I get sorted.
Will update as soon as I get tickets.

Chris Higgins says:

Still no word on the Swansea tickets, and their website is still down. Anyone heard anything? I spent 10 minutes on the phone to the theatre last week (from Australia!) and they couldn’t really tell me anything! Might try again on Monday afternoon UK time.

October 11, 2009 at 1:10 pm
meriel says:

@ Chris Higgings. I phoned the Swansea Grand on Friday and booked my tickets. They only became available Friday lunchtime, so I’d phone again as soon as possible if I were you.

October 11, 2009 at 1:13 pm
meriel says:

appologies Chris, spelt your surname wrong. good luck with the tickets :)

October 11, 2009 at 4:12 pm
Rhian says:

@Chris – I bought tickets for Swansea on Friday afternoon when they went on sale.

October 11, 2009 at 4:15 pm
Rhian says:

@LairyT – Saw Enigma 6 times this year and have 9 tickets for next year! Am dragging along some new converts to 3 dates so it’ll be nice to be able to talk about it with someone at last.

October 12, 2009 at 12:54 am
Chris says:

Thanks Meriel and Rhian for the tip. I’ll call them when I get home tonight. There’s a 10 hour time difference between Oz and the UK. I must say I’m a little bit concerned. Whilst Derren’s tour page lists Swansea dates from the 9th – 12th, the Swansea Grand site (now that it’s back up) only lists 10th -12th. Did either of you happen to buy tickets for the 9th? I was due to leave London on the 9th, but have now extended the trip to the 11th, with the plan of catching a train to Swansea on the 8th, seeing the show on the 9th, and heading back to London on the 10th and departing on the 11th. Don’t know if it will work a day later. Hmmm…

October 12, 2009 at 1:18 pm
Chris Higgins says:

OK. Got my ticket. Second row, just off to the side apparently. According to the theatre, there is no show on February 9th. Only three shows, on February 10, 11 and 12. I’ll be catching the train from London down to Swansea on the 9th, seeing the show on the 10th, catching the train back to London on the 11th, and then leaving London for Australia that same evening. What could possibly go wrong?! ;-)

Must say, I am a little nervous. I took a trip from England to Ireland last year to see Billy Connolly in Killarney only to find that there was a massive rail strike across Ireland and my train from Dublin had been delayed by half a day. Made it to the gig with only minutes to spare! Don’t fancy taking the chance of missing an international flight however.

October 12, 2009 at 8:53 pm
Rhian says:

That’s good Chris.. sounds like a military exercise! It’ll be quicker to get the train to Swansea than the bus and Swansea is the end of the line in case you fall asleep ;-) Not sure where the theatre is in relation to the train station but am sure it’s not too far… it’s the same part of Swansea I think.

I’m going on the 10th and the 12th and then have two nights in Torquay!

Lisa says:

Hi, can anyone looking for tickets for Hull give me a shout if they find out they’re on sale. I’ve rang the box office lots of times and I think they’re getting sick of me lol. I’m still gonna keep calling though coz I want those tickets!

I’m scarlett_1981 on twitter.

Cheers

Lisa

Khimbar says:

Either I’ve been well and truly fooled or the Alex in Birmingham have new dates in June 2010 and I’ve got two tickets, second row, Saturday night.

Second row. I would put ‘omg!’ but I guess you’ll all be able to imagine how I feel so it would be a tad redundant. :)

‘Worship the Brown and all that’.
