Looking forward to watching it on Friday…will be on the lookout for the stock phrases, “luck o the Irish” and “rub of the Green” 🙂
Hello Derren,
I would just like to say I am a big fan of yours. I wasn’t to begin with… One of your programmes changed my mind. It was more of a documentary of you, and what you see behind the scenes. To begin with I thought you were quite scary and probably didn’t care about people, but after watching that documentary I saw you had a heart and quite an interesting personality. I would like to ask if you have confidence cds? I also apologise if my writing isn’t very good, I stopped going to school at the age of 14 years old with my father moving around all the time with his job. I hope you get this message, because you cannot read them all, especially when you have nearly 1 million followers. Anyway, Take care Mr Derren Brown, Best wishes, Lara Bayley, Hull, East Yorkshire.
Wow. This one seems like a nice one (provided it goes to plan)
looking forward – this looks well shot, loving the intro hand camera with long lens!
and the music, haha
Hello Derren,
I am really enjoying your new show, already got a collection of your previous work, and a book by you called ‘Tricks of the Mind’. The book put a smile on my face 🙂 Hey I’ve seen your art, do you draw dogs, just joking..(Got 4 dogs lol) Good luck with your show..Take care, Best wishes, Lara Bayley in Hull, East Yorkshire..
Looks fab!
Luck is luck, sometimes you win sometimes you lose!
Reminds me of the guy who sold everything he owned and went to Las Vegas to put all is money on roulette, except he won!!
That was lucky!!
I live there!! 😀 It’s filmed in Todmorden!
This sounds kind of light hearted after the whole killing-sadism-and killing again Stuff… Really looking forward on this one 🙂
Just don’t kiss the blarney stone. I hear the locals use it as a privy.
yeah, i’d like to know what that mysterious force is meself–& why it wont leave me alone! :/
This one looks awesome, Derren is brave after last time *coughs* 😀 only kidding X
Begorra, that advert has a very Irish feel to it, so it does. 🙂
BRING IT!!! 😉
I actually watched the piece on Calendar News the day you were filming the dog statue and I remember commenting to my hubby that it seemed a bit strange, not your type of thing at all but it all makes sense now. Cannot wait till Friday!
I can’t wait to see this episode. I’ve been watching the Experiment series and love it so far.
Hello Derren,
Greetings from Toronto via Leeds (moved to Canada in ’72)
Just wanted to say THANK GOD for the internet
A lot of UK programs never see the light of day here.
You are an intriguing combination of Kreskin and Chris Angel!
: )
But seriously, keep up the great work and if you ever play Toronto, I’ll be the first in line to buy tickets
LOVE your works!
I love this series! Me and my uni flatmates watch it every week 🙂
Now now, all this gambling has gone wrong before… remember How to Beat a Casino?
Looking forward as usual. Some of the recent ones have made me cringe, gameshow especially, I just hope everyone saw your post about the people in the audience getting bad comments on social networks…Really hit the nail on the head and made the whole show a bigger and more important thing as a whole!
I thought the gameshow one was crazy although i did prefer the assasin one, amazing how you can control someone like that, cant wait for the next ep!.
actually can’t believe how LUCKY i am. Derren in my town!!!!!!! Todmorden loves Derren brown 🙂
Hello Derren, Just wanted to congratulate you on an excellent series. Loved them all especially week 1 & 3. Hope you have more stuff in the pipeline !
: )
just watched tonights show.
Best yet. But of course you fixed the third throw.
Nice one Darren.
My guess is magnet on the opposite side of the switched dice.
Any other suggestions ??
There seems to be two possibilities here.
1) Derren somehow switched the dice at some point. (Dawn had already filmed in the toyshop – he could have found out the kind of dice the shop sold and swapped the stock for a weighted or magnetic dice) I have seen a similar thing on Real Hustle where they replace normal cards with tampered resealed cards in a shop and get the subject to buy ‘new’ cards.
2) It was just a normal dice with a 1 in 6 chance, and the dice just happened to land on 4. If the dice did land on 4, Derren could have just turned it around and given him the money anyway, claiming that it was about him taking opportunities that was the real test.
Either way it’s a ‘hit’, however if Derren could have found a way to influence the roll of the dice – and I’m sure he would, and
(Sorry my comment was split up)
….Either way it’s a ‘hit’, however if Derren could have found a way to influence the roll of the dice – and I’m sure he would, and easily could have – it would make for a much better ending/television.
Nice work with Sally Morgan by the way. More evidence that psychics are either delusional or outright charlatans.
I like how Derren is continuing the tradition of the magician as scpetic i.e. Houdini, Randi, Penn & Teller etc.
Derren,
Did you foresee the guy placing the ‘crazy’ bet?
Oh my days! My little heart was in my mouth watching the third roll of the dice, tremendous outcome and i must confess i did a big YOL (YAY out loud) when i saw the number 4. Have been watching other bits of your work on the old catch up on demand too. Attempted to do the reading thingie off the trick or treat series you did, EPIC FAIL but enjoyed having a go at it. Thank you Derren, you’ve brought back that little flutter of excitement and the shock-like grin ( :oO :oD ) ive not had since i was little @ christmas time (without actually saying those dreaded 3 words). I hope this finds its way to you. Take care and remember Smiles Cost Nothing. xx
