Derren is planning to take a theatre show to New York towards the end of 2012.

Whilst, at this stage, we have no further details, we are asking if you would be interested in seeing Derren perform live in New York.

If this is the case, then do yourself a favour and sign up to the exclusive mailing list that we have created. This way you will be the first to get further information should the performances go ahead.

My wife and I have “joked” about traveling to Europe just to see one of Derren Brown’s shows. We’d love to only have to pay for a train ride instead!

Any clue as to if this is Svengali (or another previous live show) or is it a brand new performance?

November 10, 2011 at 11:35 am

Can I come? I live in Birmingham! Not Alabama, the West Midlands.

i have been a massive fan of Derren Brown since day one years ago! my interest moved from David Blaine to the more indepthness of Derren. I have never have the privelage of seeing him live, and frankly, would lose a limb to do so!

Berber Anna says:

Actually, my friends and I have been talking about a trip to NY for years, so depending on finances, we might possibly be able to plan that to coincide with the show. Would be kind of funny to see a familiar entertainer all the way in the Big Apple. But yeah, not American, just a potential tourist (emphasis on potential 😉 ), so I can’t sign up for the mailing list 😉

Other Paul says:

But if you do shows in USA, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Dubai, Australia, then how do you propose to remain unknown so that you may continue to expose charlatans? You’ll be able to expose them only in places like, umm, the lesser Antilles or something.

Shaun Banks says:

New York!, New Blinking York!, you are making stalking a very expensive activity. What about Worthing, surely this has far greater appeal. Alternatively you could use my moderately sized lounge in Brighton, I make a cracking cup of tea and an endless supply of chocolate.

New York is probably the most amazing city in the world so I will understand if you prefer it to Worthing or Brighton.

André says:

Since you are virtually unknown here, it seems logical that the bulk of the people who would go see you would be long time fans who have watched most if not all your television work. That includes the stage specials.

So I believe it would make more sense to create a brand new show, and not just recycle bits and pieces from previous endeavors.

I went and saw Derren in Birmingham in the summer of 2010 while I was in Europe. I would love to see him come to the US, but he needs to come to Chicago! Do at least a three or four city trip across the US, such as New York, Chicago, Las Vegas, and LA.

I’ve been waiting for this for so long! I’m studying abroad in England this January and just narrowly missing Svengali. I was rather upset, but this has made my day, even if I have to wait until the end of 2012. Hmm…an end of the world theme perhaps?

November 10, 2011 at 5:09 pm
Jessica says:

Come to Canada! Preferably Vancouver or Edmonton/Calgary, but my boyfriend and I would most defintely travel at least to Toronto to see one of Derren’s shows. New York would probably just be out of our reach. We’ve joked about going to England for our honeymoon just to see a Derren show!

Yes, do it, but please consult with me first to make sure your show coincides with my half-planned visit to New York. At the moment you’re looking at the wrong end of the year entirely. The correct time is around the end of March. As long as that’s clear. Good.

Also, go to Australia. Everyone else is saying it so it must be right. Right?

Derren do it. I stayed in NYC a few weeks ago (hotel next to Bank of America sign in the photo, Times Square). I fell in love with the city and your show would be just the excuse I could use to get Mrs Pejay to agree to a return trip. Seen a couple of iterations of your shows in the U.K. Excellent!

It would be really expensive for me to travel there on my budget and having no family or friends in the area. Any chance of doing a show in Atlanta or Charlotte? I would be willing to bankrupt myself to see Derren but I’d somewhat prefer if I didn’t have to…

You’ll spoil all your fun if you become known in America. No more hiding as Daniel Owen, James Laurence, or whatever tacky name you can come up with to disguise your smugness.
But it would be a delight traveling from just Connecticut to see your brilliant performance. Im just wondering if I would have seen it already or if this will be an exclusive American live show. I promise you by the end of all this, Ill be there talking to you on stage during your show. <3

November 14, 2011 at 3:51 pm

I would come to this show as many times as my credit card would allow me to. I would wait outside the stage door for hugs even after Visa cut me off. Next month I launch my blog, and we would give you as much publicity as possible. Now excuse me while I go buy a year’s supply of Tums for the wait.

I want the best tickets I can get. I really hope this works out so I can see him. Derren could do a show with Penn and Teller. I think they have shared the stage before with other magicians because of the show “Fool Us.” Anyway, I think that NY would be amazing.
