Some musical listening-items for you.
Last night we had ourselves a little party after the show, courtesy of the M&S Party Food aisle here in Reading. (We didn’t actually hold the party in the aisle – is that ambiguous? I just bought the num-nums there). Stephen Long, our brilliant, erstwhile crew-member-turned-singer-songwriter was at the party, all grins and compliments on the show, as was the delightful Joe Sparks, who you may or may not know as an equally talented performer. Those of you with volumes to turn up, enjoy the musical brilliances of our good friends. Stephen has just released an EP, and Joe has been signed by Oli Claw records with an album called Black 26 that launches in July. Please listen and enjoy.Â
A wizard should know better 🙂
I hope you had a caterpillar cake.
They sounds exactly like British versions of Dave Matthews and Ben Lee respectively… v nice… 😀
I hope there were some Yum Yums involved in your num nums… food of champions…
yeah the caterpillar cakes rock! Glad you had a good time. xx
Fantastic, thanks for sharing.
Sounds lovely,…Hope you all had a great time at the party 🙂
Joe´s Music sounds really good, love it…gotta add him to my myspace!
tata
xx
Oh, i didn´t see Stephen Longs myspace page but now do
Lovely music too!…first song aint about Harry Potter right? 😉
I like accoustic songs very much
They’re not called num nums, they’re called nummies.
These are very good songs but if possible could you add the option of switching them off?
No offense lovely musicians, but I wanted to listen to the parrot.
oh strike that phillis. Sorry, totally my mistake.
*blushing*
I had myspace switched on behind the screen.
Love that Passport Photographs song on Stephen Long’s myspace. Sexy voice, and he even kind of looks like John Barrowman, which is definitely a plus in my book… 😛
Joe Sparks sounds good, too, but a bit too ‘poppy’ for my taste.
Anyway, having a party with free music from your friends sounds lovely to me 🙂
Don’t have a clue who they are and can’t listen to them now either. The headliner made me think we were going into stereotype gay thing .. musicals which made me think of the 4 tickets I wonn for the Sound of Music. My thoughts went not further than that and then I started reading and still wonder what M&S etc is … and nums nums .. makes me think of M&Ms but I’m sure that’s not it .. I can look it up but it was a party and I got the bottom line of it .. need I know more.
So, how many are you getting from the royalties from these guys now that you advertise for them here huh?
What is it about them YOU like .. or erm .. did you think .. oh well .. the bloggers might like ’em .. get them started (or did they start well already there in the UK? We, on the other side of the canal haven’t heard of them so not such a good start … ).
Now I can’t get rid of the tune .. I feel pretty … oh so prettyyyyyyy …. It’s a very sticky song … but very uplifting as well ..
M&S is Marks and Spencer, a middle-class sort of shop which we always get our “meetings food” from. They do great little tubs of mini things to nibble. Also a fantastic chocolate caterpillar cake. Num-nums just means food of the snacky variety. As opposed to numb-nuts, which is slightly different.
rofl @bellafiga…did anyone say numb nuts?…my, my thas rude 😀
Lol… I use the term Nummynums myself (but each to their own 😉 )
Cool, easily listening tunes… thanks for the redirection D.
Glad you got to give yourself (and crew) a well-deserved period of ‘R & R’… even if it was only short. Good luck with the rest of the shows to you and the crew.
