Last night’s art launch
Well – last night was the combined book launch party for ‘Portraits’ (delayed somewhat due to the West End run), and the start of a 2 week exhibition. We have some photos, but they’re not quite in my hands yet: promise to put some up here when I can.
As mentioned before, the exhibition of prints and originals runs at the Rebecca Hossack Gallery on Charlotte St in London until the 21st. Sales are already high, and if any of you do find that prints are sold out, we and the gallery will aim to get new ones available as soon as we can (aside from the limited runs of course).
I’m also looking at a very handsome oversized postcard set, which we’re going to be selling on the site. Rather yummy. Changes will all happen to the site this week.
Meanwhile, not being a seasoned sun-bather, I burnt myself horrendously on the Venice Lido all down my front. Could not have felt any more like a Brit abroad. Don’t bother with the Clarins SF40 concentrate, that’s what I say.
Otherwise it was a splendid weekend. The Gondolieri proved disappointing as expected. There’s only one handsome chap in this photograph and we all know damn well who it is:
Hope you all have less red and sensitive skin than I do.
x
ohh I forgot to say yes you ARE the only handsome one & yeah I know it!!! 😉 I think we ALL do hon <3
Try Lush’s Dream Cream. Amazing on sensitive and burnt skin. I think it smells a bit odd but worth it. Bugger Clarins and get yourself to Boots. 3 for 2 all the way! 🙂
Congrats on the book launch. Citing!
Take care lovely
x
Think yourself lucky Derren, you only experienced sunburn and disappointing gondoliers. On the day I visited Venice a few years ago it was foggy, there was a flasher on the water bus and someone had been murdered on the Rialto Bridge. A memorable day for all the wrong reasons!
Can’t wait to visit the exhibition next week! Lovely photo too, glad you had a fun time in Venice, despite the sun burn : ) x
Well I’m just glad I lightened your day, flapjack, even if I can’t ever show my face round here again. Good call, Phyllis. I’ll hold him down.
Awww, don’t be like that Callie! Unless you add an avatar we don’t get to see your face around here anyway so you can post safe in the knowledge we wouldn’t recognise you in the street. If anyone should be ashamed it’s me!
BTW why does everyone want to spank me?
Chantelle: he’s gay, love. I don’t think you have much of a chance there. Try Criss Angel instead.
Callie, don’t worry about it, Flapjack just gets these urges sometimes. It’s not his fault, he has a condition. We have to understand.
Oh yeah, forgot to add – if you need some help converting to Criss Angel, just filter all the blog posts here by “DB Direct.” Read through each one, screaming “MIIIINDFREEAAAKKK” out loud every few lines or so. It’ll help. Or if you’d rather switch to David Blaine, imagine he’s writing everything either upside down or from inside a box while staring intensely at you, your call. Good luck!
SGC – can I try Criss Angel?
Flapjack: I don’t know if he’s into guys, but maybe you could just grow your hair long or something. He’d likely be spending so much time gazing at his own reflection he wouldn’t even notice.
Having endured more than my fair share of post-sun lobsterin’, I can only sympathise, and recommend a very hot bath followed by a very cool shower. No idea why or how, but it really helps take a lot of the heat / pain away.
Will defo try & catch your exhibition. I’ve love your art for ages!
It’s until 22nd. The Gallery site says 22nd. You can always call them if you want to confirm. Many Thanks, Abeo 🙂
