Announcement from the DB Blog Team
It’s come to our attention that some fans have received phone calls from people claiming to be us, informing people they have won tickets to Svengali.
We’d just like to make it clear that these calls are fraudulent and not anyone from the DB Blog team.
If you receive these calls, please pop an email through to admin@derrenbrown.co.uk with as much detail as possible so we can look into this for you.
You will never receive any phone calls from myself (Abeo), Dupin or Exeo.
When we do run competitions then contact comes via the official @derrenbrown.co.uk email addresses and will contain your original email entry to the competition. The winners first name will also be announced on the various official channels (Blog/Facebook/Twitter).
If in doubt please contact me via Twitter or Facebook for confirmation.
Thank you for ensuring that nobody else gets these phone calls. They were horribly insistent, and withdrew their number. Just hang up straight away, they aren’t nice people.
Oh no! Poor people.
Sorry to hear that.
Will you be running any genuine competitions for Svengali tickets? I would love to see it this year and cannot afford to buy a ticket this year as I’ve been unwell and out of unpaid work. 🙁
Haha! That’s just what you want us to believe though, isn’t it? This is all just another layer of your elaborate… hello? Hello? Hmm. Line’s gone dead.
Can I have a pair of tickets to make up for the inconvenience?
Thanks
James
Thanks for the warning. 🙂
Thanks for the heads up, Abeo x
Nice April Fool’s Derren, like your style……..
Msg from Abeo: The date was unfortunate for a post, this wasn’t an April fools.
Somebody was telling me about this earlier. So annoying, imagine getting excited for it then realising it was a scam.
have we considered allowing you, (derren) to phone them; is this a scary concept?
Msg from Abeo: We haven’t run any competitions lately. When we do they are kept to email generally as people shouldn’t have to give out details like thier phone number to enter a competition.
So this invitation for an all expenses paid extended stay at some resort called Gitmo, from some company styling itself GCHQ, is a scam then?
