38. @JayKay – Checked with someone I know who works for the BBC and was told that the Lottery does have to be broadcast live with no delay apparently…

    I’ve been reading this blog for about a year now, but I’ve never posted before. But this time I just felt the need to say something, and I think cindy christian said it best, so I’ll just quote her:

41. My prediction is you get four of the numbers right and for the fifth number you pick 6 and it comes out as 9 (or vice-versa). Then the machine mysteriously jams and the final ball doesn’t come out!

50. As Alex hinted at earlier, I was thinking maybe Derren had got the BBC and Camelot to agree to do the draw earlier and simply pretend that it’s live later on.
    These kind of things are usually mind-bogglingly simple, but you never know.

    One thing I am sure of, though, is that Derren knows 100% that he’s going to succeed and this is just to build up the tension. He’s sneaky like that!
