I can’t wait to see if and how he could pull this one off. I have always been interested in the power of suggestion, but in this case to make someone think the entire world has ended… It just sees the only way to get away with it is either the person involved is extremely naive or you’ve literally built a town in the middle of nowhere and kidnapped them. I haven’t got a clue how you would get them to the set up town without them realizing they are being kidnapped though.
just quite unbelievable, we are so lucky to get to watch this stuff – I can imagine in 20 years time people looking back and say “I cant believe they were allowed to make programs like that”. I cant quite believe it either, but we have one man’s amazing brain to thank for that (and his team ofc). Thankyou!
Haha! Can’t wait for some more Derren Brown mind fuckery! I feel really sorry for the people he tricks though and this one seems pretty big. I’m interested to see how it’s pulled off. I can imagine to pull off something this big, you’d have to completely isolate the person so they can’t check the internet and realise it really isn’t the end of the world. We shall see!

watching it as a 16 year old, third party from a streaming site in australia makes it even more exciting and horrifically vivid, let alone the fact that i stayed up at 4 in the morning. i’ve grown to really embrace derren’s hard work and i now believe that he needs more credit for his productions.
