Tonight was great, I was (again) not one of those who drew the right thing, but was pleased with the explanation at the end as, not having access to the English papers I wouldn’t have seen the message!!

As for the others getting the right picture … I’m inclined to think it was coincidence… (sorry!) πŸ™‚

I thought that was my number for a sec. It’s not.
    Fab show tonight though!

I drew a circle with a star in it. Not exactly correct but at least I did draw a circle!! πŸ˜€

Btw, I went to P70 in The Sun and there was no ad there. Perhaps The Sun newspapers differ?

Am really looking forward to the finale next week! So sad the series is ending, they’ve been such great TV!!

I was freaking out at the sight of the Target underneath the Newspaper, Since i drew a quite wobbly one [with 2 arrows in it] along with some rocks…and a spaceship?! WOW!

Didnt get the drawing right! Thought it was a car or a star of david – doh! Mind you, didnt get a paper today – LOL. BUT did anyone else feel really tearful? Just at the end….wont say which bit – no Derren it wasnt cos the show was finished! First programme have watched (only half watching as on facebook!) – very odd!

Yay can’t wait! I hope its as good as today’s show because I thought it was brilliant! πŸ˜€ My fiance and my sisters boyfriend both drew the right thing! Although my finance visited the museum and guessed it right when we visited while the image was on display! πŸ™‚

    Hi Derren

    Stunned by the performance tonight.

I am so unlucky that please, please, please avoid picking me next week. I don.t want the show not to be a success. As an example – convinced the drawing tonight was a yacht.

    Good luck

My son – who is 10 years old, drew the circles and a picture of stonehenge!

i drew 4 overlapping circles with little circles inside. I never read the paper though. Loved the show.x

I feel somewhat cheated by this weeks episode – Both the concentric circles and the lines across them were clearly replicated in the womans eyes – the lighting used made it obvious. Too easy Derren! This also makes me doubt that they had no idea of the drawing. And the ending revealing her at Stonehenge was just silly……I expected more from you πŸ™

  16. gabrielle
    25 September 2009

Well i first drew a circle with an inverted pyramid and then drew spirals…. i suppose the circle theme was there. i don’t read newspapers so i didn’t get the adverts lol!

All these shows are brilliant, thanks!

  17. Gemma
    25 September 2009

    Major success tonight Derren.

My nana drew stone henges with circles around them. Then me? I drew a sun (A circle…kinda close right?), bridge (Which looked like a stone henge but then scribbled it out because it didn’t look like a bridge haha) and a duck.(??)

    So yeah, well done πŸ˜€

Oh…and none of us read a newspaper LOL

    25 September 2009

Good show tonight. I drew a total of fourteen pictures, over half of which involved circles, somewhere. One of which being a train, and a target/corsshair.

    @Lady Claire
It is there! At the bottom left hand side of the page. Between the ‘specialist’ (;)) phoneline adverts.

    @Abeo/Phillis/Coops/Derren
Are ‘The Events’ going to be released on DVD at all? It would be really interesting to see more of the segments in each show.

I take it back, I have found the ad in the paper now! I didn’t read the newspaper today, it’s just been lying around. So the fact I drew a circle of sorts without seeing that is pretty good I think! lol

    Hm…drew hearts and figure 8s…

    Close, I suppose…

The first thing I thought of was “curves”

  23. Bianca Jade MacDonald
    25 September 2009

I drew a spiral so it wasn’t exactly right but hey, close enough for me as these things never work on me lol.
Can’t wait ’till next week πŸ˜€

I drew a ship. I want to know how much all those people got paid to draw circles.

I drew a spiral which is close enough cos these things never work on me lol!

Good show Derren. You and what you do makes me very happy. But I also feel happy that you don’t have my number… I am relieved I never texted you now!!:)
Good luck for next week. I am really reallllyy reaaaalllyyy looking forward to it!!

    25 September 2009

as soon as you said concentric rings, i gathered a few ideas
why so many people had drawn them, besides your advert.

you repeatedly said “simple shape” obviously a circle is simple.
in addition when staring at her eyes it becomes clear how her eyes were circular, the outer coloured part of the eye, the pupil…and the ‘ring’ shaped light reflecting from her eye….
for about 15 seconds all we saw on screen was circles, concentric rings when we were looking into her eyes…just a hunch πŸ˜‰

very well done derren, the closest i got was drawing a finger ring. πŸ˜€ great show

    25 September 2009

Unfortunately, I don’t have £5,000 for Derren to gamble with! πŸ™

Lady Claire, it was on page 86 of my copy of The Sun (ahem not that I read that kinda thing).

Whose number is that?! Surely loads of people will be ringing it right now?! *tempted*

  30. Kathy
    25 September 2009

I got it right, but that was probably because of the big poster in the background and the pattern on the railings in the museum… πŸ™‚
Absolutely BRILLIANT show tonight and I’m even more excited about next week πŸ˜€
Can’t believe it will be over soon- what will I get to obsess about?!?

  31. Lady Claire
    25 September 2009

@Ferkle – It’s ok I’ve found it now. It is on P70 of my Sun. Honestly, sometimes you just can’t see what’s right in front of your eyes!

Beating the casino is very easy though, you just have to be patient and stick with the options that have almost 50/50, e.g. black/red (the number 0 breaks the 50/50 though).
This is the safest bet and you can come out of the casino with a lot of money, but you need to take a minimum of £100 with you to be able to have a gradual winning, as sometimes you will lose, you just have to multiply your loses times 2/3 and bet that again, till you win.

Casinos dont like this and will more than likely throw you out from there if you keep doing it all the time.

The above is from my own experience by the way πŸ˜‰
Can also work on the online casino’s but remember its all software programmed, never trust code that you cant see πŸ˜‰

    I need a newspaper!

Also, I drew heaps of circles and cars and a bridge. It was very strange, I couldn’t get the image of circles out of my head.

    Good show πŸ˜€

  37. Andrew Jones
    25 September 2009

OK – surrounding the “covered” painting, watch it back and you will see several paintings hanging on the walls with circles in them, the railings along the gallery had circles in them!

And *every* single ad just before the painting was revealed (ie the 9:45pm ad break) featured concentric circles!!

But extremely well done!! Loved tonights show.

PS -just to confirm on Wednesday we got some friends around and sat them in the cafe, turned all the lights out and played the bit from last friday from just after the last ad break (the close up on derren) where the hypnosis started (as well all know the film was just to relax you and let the suggestions take hold) and sure enough all 3 of our friends were stuck!!
They didnt notice the 3?? flashes of the tied to a chair image either until after

    25 September 2009

I tried the number but it goes to voicemail and says the mailbox is full. Should’ve got there quicker!! how many times will i be ringing that again…?!

    – Please don’t call these numbers – thanks people – Phillis

Do you know, it never even entered my head that by texting in tonight Derren etc, would have my mobile number. Dearie me….. Still, I am a bit of a gambler and I most certainly wouldn’t mind winning some money (or rather have Derren win it for me! lol) πŸ˜€

couldn’t find the advert on page 64 of the metro πŸ™

    25 September 2009

OK I feel cheated. I usually dive deep into the ad’s section of the newspaper every day (the sun newspaper). Today I never even opened past the star signs (there was a cool viral on there (the virals page) just recently about Derren predicting the contents of Kinder surprise Eggs LOL – some reason I can’t find it anywer online hmmm – challenge for you all – find it! :-p).

What’s made me feel more cheated is that last night WatchDog did a show and it was about Newspaper ad’s.. I promised myself I should check the ad’s today.

Ok I’m rambling but seriously.. I would have seen it any other day and told you all to Draw Concentric Circles before the show went live!

i was really upset that none of the “controlling the nation”
worked on me or anyone that I know. It’s very frustrating and a waste of time
for the people that it never affects.
I will no longer continue to watch this show
as I just wind up feeling frustrated, annoyed and a bit of an idiot to be honest.
I have lost all my faith in him.

  45. ben stenning
    25 September 2009

    also angles! 90 degree angles!
why was i obsessing about 90 degree angles derren?
i drew like a page of different angles, i even wrote ‘ANGLES?’
on my page, i was holding my head, constantly saying angles…
really thought something was going to be with 90degree angles.
it felt wierd, but i couldnt stop drawing them or get them out of my head.

    Can’t wait!
All the shows have been amazing so far, but unfortunatly again, I didn’t do it.
    I dress a turtle, a cat, &<<<that, a house and a boat.
Don't think their quite right, do you?
But I still love him, he's scary good. Especially live!

After reading all comments on this page and watching the first 20 mins of programe after being out all night, I knew that circles and squares were going to be in the picture…..Why? because Derren with the power of suggestion in the mind told Katie what to draw!! on the river bank in London we all saw it!! Surrounded by a bridge with railings circles inside of circles and squares. This is the power of suggestion a kind of hypnosis. Take another look at the programe. You will see all the circles and squares if you look for them.

Derren Brown freaks me out. He probably has £5,000 out of all our bank accounts by now because we’ve already told him our pin numbers. Recession? Banks going bust? No, just Derren Brown going down his local high street getting members of the public to rob them all. Good job I only have about 500 quid in mine.

I got circles by the way. Freak!
