Brilliant, i can’t wait! and congrats, that advert was only a little bit creepy xD
I love this advert. Just the right amount of creepiness, is that even a word? :S
Anyway, can’t wait! x
I suddenly have an inexplicable urge to buy Softmints.
Oh my god… I think I just stole a multipack of kit-kats
I saw this on tv the other day and originally thought it was for mental health! Can’t wait for the new shows!
Can’t wait! 😀
Lovely trailer. Can’t wait!
Brilliant advert! Very creepy and sets the show up well. Thanks Derren, the team and C4 for getting this together, cannot wait.
gyyyuuuuuurrgh! Scary! Major creepiness! Can’t wait though 😀 xxx Oh….and Derren, you still look hot, LOL!
This is one of the best DB adverts yet, even better than The Events. Can’t wait!
So very creepy! Excellent 🙂
Such an excellent ad. Brilliantly creepy. Can’t wait. 😀
I CAN NOT WAIT!

Jeeeez! This guy loves to play with minds…
Wow! Looks amazing 🙂 NLP I wonder? Been too long since we saw Derren on tv so I’m looking forward to seeing this!
Brilliant advert, i agree its a bit creepy!! Im looking forward to seeing what you have in store for us Derren. Im sure it will be nothing short of extrordinary…as usual! ………..I’d like to see some more interacting between yourself and viewers, anything we can participate in would be great (like sticking to our sofa’s!). Im sure you will have us stuck to our seats anyway as once i start watching any of your shows its hard to stop!!
Im so intrigued in what you do! i really enjoy all your shows and your live shows are just as good if not better! I shall be coming to see you in February a birthday treat from my partner!
Exciting for The Experiments! xx
Oh this looks good. I’ve been waiting for a new one of your series for a while.
Cant wait to see the brilliance!!!
i can’t wait! I Love Your programs.
I hope Polish TV will buy it soon!
Milgram my dear, eat yer heart out!
Yes Derren finally! going back to your roots instead of the feelgood save the world crap of late. Come back and expose us for the fickle, impressionable and predicable creatures we are!
I almost wet myself with excitement after this trailer
I can’t wait!
Adore the Jamie Woon- Lady Luck in the back, mmmmmm 😀
Gruselig… Grossartig… Ich freue mich sehr darauf! Viel Erfolg Derren!
When this advert first aired, I looked up while it was on and thought to myself “Ugh, what the hell…..?” and then something seemed to click in my mind and I soon realised that a certain Mr Brown was behind it…..then lo and behold, up you popped! lol
Great advert, which if anything, gets increasingly more disturbing and makes the whole thing it’s advertising more damnable intriguing with every watch.
Very much looking forward to The Experiments….. 🙂
looks fantastic & very intersting indeed , can’t wait to see hte outcome 🙂
Do we have a free will? Not convinced at all. According to religion and our state laws we have. Believing in free will implies having “something” a soul for instance that is independant from our natural chemical reactions. What a wonderful furry tail :)! Guess we will have an element of response with this next wondeful show ! Thanks Derren and your team for constantly kicking in the ant-hill !
dunno, it feels like a weird ad, it’s got a kind of “don’t drink drive” feel to it, i am afraid.
i am missing some pulling points?
the voiceover fragments the message, which dones not help imo – uness it’s some intentional NLP
the music does not emphasize anything.
very smooth static… but tries to be dynamic … at least should have had more close-ups…?
looks like a weird music video.
…but i am looking forward regardless 😀
radam: The ventriloquist doll mouths (emphasised by the voice-over, the ‘ventriloquist’s voice’ ) are a metaphor for the fact that people are not always in control of themselves. Seems perfect for the show. Derren does not use NLP, and I doubt whether he even wrote the script for the ad — that’s usually not done by the creators of a show, but I don’t know how C4 handles those things, so it might be his work. Either way, no NLP.
What is the song on this advert, seriously bugging me!! xx
Berber, no NLP? This is Derren, I highly doubt he hasn’t thought this ad through a hundred times to make sure it’s exactly how he wants it to come across and maybe there a subtle clues in there too that not everyone can see.
Oh this looks great! I am really looking forward to seeing this for many reasons. Xx Not long to go now 🙂
Mark: No NLP. Derren has repeatedly stated that he doesn’t use NLP. In his book Tricks of the Mind, he basically says that while some of the techniques are useful to some extent, the whole NLP framework is way too dogmatic.
Subtle clues are fun and I’m sure C4 has put some in (they’re good at trailers, as we’ve seen with The Events), but they really have very little to do with NLP. I don’t know why everyone keeps attaching that label to Derren’s work, when what he does is basically a mixture of mentalism and experimental psychology.
anyone know the song on this advert?
its been bugging me for days and cant find it anywhere!
Did any one else tilt thier head just as the trailer ended? He says, ‘and are we really in control of our selves’ there is a slight tild of head and then they all tilt thier heads.
It was probably a coinsidence and i’m reading too much into it.
What’s the song anyone? Been tryin to google it everywhere :/
I like that advert and Love derren brown too!!
I buy my veg from the shop at 20 seconds in!
Hey Faz the song is Jamie Woon – Lady luck
I think its Jamie Woon – Lady Luck (Hudson Mohawk’s Schmink-wolf Re-fix)
Did anyone else tilt their head in sync with Derren at the end? Freaked me the fuck out.
no. but it sounds like you’ve are under the spell.
it’s been so long since a derren brown series. exicited!
Really want to know if Derren adds the smileys? 🙂
Thank you… i will sleep at night now i know… then again i might not sleep tonight after the show… 5 hours and counting
I have a horrible fear of mannequins and ventriloquist dummies – this advert seriously creeps me out >_<'.
The first show was brilliant though!
