20. I am so excited about this program, have been waiting for ages for it to come on the tellybox! Saw Derren last night on tour and he was amazing, never fails to surprise me! Love his tours, love his shows and I’m sure this one will be no exception!

26. what a pity Derren labels all faith healers as frauds a dn money makers. Has he never heard of the thousands of genuine miracles that are happening every day and for which NO PAYMENT is required or expected. If he makes contact with The Healing Rooms inany venue in the UK he will meet ordinary people who ARE empowered by the Holy Spirit to heal both inwardly and outwardly.
    He is the one making money from all this. He better watch out if he speaks against the Holy Spirit. But he should also remember that God loves him. Maybe in the near future, he will be genuinely healing in the name of Jesus.

29. Im a physio and pain is incredibly complex with a massixe psychosocial element… not that surprised you had a high success rate using your mnid suggestion stuff! maybe you should be a physio lecturer! You should definitely do more stuff around the sensation of ‘pain’
30. Im a fan of Derren Brown, but his recent shows havent been up to the usual high standars, I think this show is great and Derren should continue to do more investagation type shows. He could investigate and reveal a number of scams. I would be interested in watching that 🙂

    I am so pleased you have done this. I am a christian and sceptical of such “hyped” meetings and agree that they are dangerous. The Lord is peace and love and Grace, where does that fit in with all the shouting and sweating and violence and money grabbing at these things?

    On another note, you may want to investigate Reiki, another form of spiritual healing in which it costs alot to train or recieve – and yet they do……nothing!

    Perhaps some of these “alternative” therapies are worth a look? !

    I appreciated your integrity by thinking about the companies/people you would use for your con, and in not taking it as a chance to slag off all people who do have faith, just the manipulative ones.

    Well done, that must have been very difficult!
42. What a great show.. found it very insightful. the Amercans are so foolish and believe anything. Pastor James did a great job and i think Derren should have told us about his 3/4inch leg difference.. mind i never really have noticed it when seeing any of his shows. He hides it well.. good Job Jesus has fixed it now.
43. Derren – An excellent show. A fine line trod very very very well indeed and with a real sense of “doing the right thing” throughout.

    I personally am a degree qualified Astrophysicisist and a Christian – who works hard within my own community to try to keep people thinking at all times – to not just believe something that someone with authority tells them because they “feel” it… As you so clearly demonstrated if you leave your rationaliy in the door – you are wide open to exploitation – whether it is by a deliberate con or even a well meaning honest copycat…

    Just as you did with the “Seance”. you will no doubt get a hail of criticism from people who 1) didn’t watch the program all the way through or 2) were not really listening! – Ignore it! Your team did an excellent job

    I’m heartened to see that throughout your journey you took into account the reputations and livelihoods of those around you, namely the Christian PR company.

    As always your showmanship comes through, and damn, when you looked directly at the lens telling me, “That God shaped hole cannot be filled by drugs,” I found myself beleiving you.

Just finished watching the programme… What a journey that Derren and the whole team had been through to accomplish the mission, and I greatly admire the bravery, and the strong will of everyone in the team in proving fraudulent so-called faith healers. I genuinely do not understand why and why and why those people can do that just because of greed for money? Hope justice serves them right at then end of the day, and my heart goes out to all their victims… Thank you Derren, Nathan, and the whole team for daring to expose such an ugly truth, and hopefully this verdict will spread to as many as possible.
47. I have just watched the programme and as somebody who worked for a charismatic church so I recognise so much of the stuff that I used to do and witness in ministry to people. Thank you Derren for exposing the nature of so much healing ministry and the rampant greed and manipulation that goes on in the name of God. In my time I have seem faith healers stride around the stage shouting into the microphone, while working the audiance upto fever pitch, others have made weird animal noises, roaring like lions or barking like dogs, then their are the ones who laugh in a manic way while jerking their bodies up and down, finally you get the ones who crash down to the floor laughing and babbling in tongues as they struggle to preach under the mighty annointing of God.
48. Derren, I have one question. Are you saying that all healings and prayer ministry time isn’t real? Or just saying people exploit this as its vulnerable people who want to be healed in what ever way so want to do anything to be healed. I know this sounds like a blunt question, but just want to know what your stance is on it. Thanks in advance x
