Will be watching this tonight! Great! :D:D
nice to know that tonight will be a nice one 🙂
I travelled over 200 miles to be in the audience of “Game Show” – I live 5 minutes down the road from Tod’. Does this make me kucky or unlucky?
I’ve got a ticket for the show in Leeds next year too.
I’m not sure this is entirely under my control !!
who’s tod morden?? 😛
We’re watching it with a kind of apprehension and trying frantically to remember if either of us (me probably) said anything inappropiate that could lead to us (me) being lynched 😉
Looking forward to the final episode! Let’s just hoe you got this one right! *cough, roulette wheel, cough*
Loving it so far. Derrens subtle expressions and kindly manner are a treat. Why did he step back when he saw the pearls? Sorry I’m a bit behind, and a big behind.
Can’t wait for tonights show!! Am tingling with anticipation!
ohh will be watching 🙂 x
AH JESUS JUST LISTENED TO DRUGS DON’T WORK!!
Derren what have you done?
Keep doing a gd job hope a get some gd luck and all out there have a nice Xmas all xx
LOVED tonights episode. Have been so upset after each of the other three that tonights has been such a relief to watch. Well done Derren and well done Wayne!
Oh WOW – that was fantastic!!
Loved the experiments. Tonight was great. Real feel good, still smiling. Thanks
What a show it was gd x
Beautifully done Derren! And a joy to watch as always.
I think Wayne took the challenge because he thought that Derren wouldn’t let him lose his money. Otherwise, would he really have put £1k down with a one in six chance of winning?
Another great show, lots of positive things for us all to take away. Keep ’em coming!
I really hope that these Experiments turn out out to be experiments on us the viewers, rather than the subjects within the programs… If not, poor shows.
10 heads in a row…
Derren back to his best after the disappointing Game Show – fabulous feelgood TV
@Tom – but that implies it must have been a trick…with a borrowed die which Derren didn’t handle?
Another amazing show.!
Derren I love your shows, which I have to say are the best thing on tv since your last shows, keep them coming ! Oh and please pass my regards and contact details to Dawn Porter ! Many thanks. !
Excellent show Derren, best out of the four. I can’t help but think that you got your inspiration from A League of Gentlemen.
fantastic end to a wonderful series – i’ve loved the challenging but largely positive subtext to each episode (well, apart from shooting a national treasure).
Loved the show, Brilliant
And to add, congratulations to you Derren and all your team for an amazing 4 shows, was good to finish on a feel good note. I’ve enjoyed them all, what a wonderful emotional rollercoaster. Amazing tv! ! !
Derren, you would not remember me but we were at Bristol University at the same time. You occasionally came to some fairly dire concerts by the University orchestra (Turangalila Symphony…..fairly inaccessible to most!!) I have followed your success and tonight’s show was great. I have wondered if you have ever considered doing a series with your skills in the power of suggestion and hynosis involving the world of Medicine. Now in that world and working as a GP I have a few ideas that could be explored! Your shows are always thought provoking.if a little black at times! Thank you!
Amazing! I have to say I would have been like Wayne, missing all the opportunities but not any more thanks to Derren!
Wow ity was amazing, I am so happy for Wayne! Well done Derren loved the shows! can not wait to see you in Dublin next March! The excitement is too much already!
He took that Chan he won gd on him a would have done the same a think we would have done the same wat that saying u win some u loss some but he won way 2 go How did u all find it wish it would be BK on vere soon x
Extremely unethical episode tonight – dissapointed since the rest of the series was so good. Gambling destroys peoples lives and opportunities are not always good opportunities. All ill say is that if I were a confidence trickster, id know the ideal place to stage my next con.
Congratulations on The Experiments. Fabulous series and superb show tonight. The Secret of Luck was, dare I say it -emotional- and very well summarised.
Brilliant show – even better than last week’s. Touble is, I no longer trust my eyes – but it did look as if the dice wobbled a bit unnaturally before coming down on 4. How about a magnetised dice with an electromagnet only turned on for the last roll?
Completely brilliant. Love you Derren. Mxx
That was great – I needed that reminder that we make our own luck!!! That was actually quite moving.
So, how’d you get the 4 to come up?
Lovely end to an interesting and thought provoking series.
Had to remember to breath when Wayne was rolling that dice: desperately hoped he would be ‘lucky’.
what if it was u that won how would u fell if ppl were saying that about u am asking if u won that wot u do with the money xx
Not happy with s sally how can she sleep! I have tickets too!
Really lovely, feel-good finale to the Experiments series. Congrats to all involved.
I have to say that in this one I didn’t for one second think you’d let Wayne lose his money (a la ‘The System’) but it made for a lovely finish no matter what.
I admit I’ve been lucky with various things over the years, competitions etc. I usually find that luck finds you when you least expect it. A bit like a lot of things really. And it also depends on the person, as your show pointed out so vividly.
Oh and btw, a colleague of mine works up North and he helped with the fireworks that were laid on by you after. Name of Tony Ellams, who does that sort of thing in his spare time. Sounded very lovely of you.
Don’t be a stranger on our screens for too long now, Derren….. 🙂

This programme was irresponsible and flawed.
Yes, people make their own luck. ‘Lucky’ and ‘unlucky’ people are the result of their choices. This was investigated by Professor Richard Wiseman and the results summarised in his book The Luck Factor (2003). So there’s nothing groundbreaking in tonight’s show.
But there’s a big difference between embracing possibilities and gambling. Wayne was open to the possibility of winning on the roll of the die, but that doesn’t mean that because he could take that risk, he should take it. After all, it’s a random event with a 5/6 chance of losing. The maths don’t lie. Recklessness is not the mark of a lucky person. So to show him gambling his life savings in such a sensationalist way undermined the whole premise of the show.
Lovely end to the series and I felt quite emotional when Wayne ‘eventually’ managed to ‘see’ his opportunity to win some money. I feel really sad all the experiments are over but I’m SO looking forward to seeing you next year Derren…only found out today, Bless you
Sue xx
Well, I’ve just finished reeling from tonight’s show. I’m somewhat sad it’s the last one, but I tip my trilby to you Mr. Brown, that was fantastic XD
Btw, this might be a silly question, but did you do the cartoons/drawings that were used throughout tonight’s show?
LC x
Derren, you rock.
That is all. 🙂
Did I miss this bit? – What was the result of the phone call Wayne made?
Most of the comments on here don’t make any sense.
Anyway I liked tonight’s show, it was a good to have a nice one, the last 3 have been so mean. D:
Sally Morgan’s appearance was hilarious. Cheeky of you to get her in a show like that, Derren xD
Genuinely touching stuff at the end, so pleased for Wayne that his newfound openess payed off! The power of positive thought is definately underrated. I guess its more comfortable to suspect trickery than to contemplate the alternative.
I could go along with Andy’s idea, it did look unnatural to me!
When letting a crowd decide on a number 1-6, they will always come down on 3/4!! Same as letting them choose 1-10, it’s inevitably 7 for some reason.
Loved it, great show!
