Derren’s Next TV show: Faith Healer
So far all we can say is:
A brand new 90 minute special from the incomparable psychological illusionist Derren Brown in which the star turns his attention to the controversial world of faith-healing.
He will lay bare the tricks and techniques employed by the American Bible belts’, self-proclaimed, faith-healers who boast the ability to perform wonders.
In one of the most audacious stunts he has ever attempted, Derren finds a member of the public who he will train to be a faith healer, before going out to the American bible belt and seeing if he can manage to put on a genuine faith healing show and get away with it.
As soon as we have a air date confirmed we will let you all know.

EXCITING!!! Can’t wait! By the way do you know what happened to the one he did with that Russian healing thing? I wanted to show some people but it won’t let me watch it. Has Derren heard of the Lightning Process…. Similar to the Russian thing except happening in the UK and currently being clinically trialed on children before adults :-/

Cool, I’m well glad there’s a new special to look forward….I’ve exhausted 4OD the past couple of weeks and watched everything Derren brown again! It’s not healthy, I’m staying up til 3/3.30am and getting up at 7am for work haha! I’ve got the show to look forward to in March, so would be good to have a filler in between…..I’m a happy girlie :0) x

Incredibly interesting. I think faith healing is considered by many as significant evidence of god or the supernatural and it’s something I really want to know more about. I’ve seen ‘healing’ which definitely could have been perceived by some as definitive proof but I can’t just agree without understanding more. I’m looking forward to seeing what light you can shed on the subject. It seems almost everything you write and talk about is exactly what i’m interested in Derren, you’re almost like a scientist who is an entertainer.

I am so glad you are investigating in the Bible belt. I grew up in the Bible belt, and, although I was always skeptical of the faith-healing aspects, I was not immune to conservative religious beliefs. I have since extricated myself from such beliefs, but I am always glad to see something that can inoculate others against them.
I am not going to miss this!

I do beleive that faith heals but i dont believe in Faith healers ,,, the only thing they heal is their bank accounts .. god luck with it !

I am always keen to watch everything that DB produces, and I can only hope that this will convince even one new viewer that faith healing is not at all real and that those who practice it don’t deserve the time or money of anyone.

Now I’m sad that I’m not British, and would therefore never be chosen for anything of this sort. I’ve been fascinated by these kinds of ruses ever since I read about Project Alpha.
