Secret ENIGMA competition: ACTIVATED
Finally, some of you have discovered the hidden UV code in the Derren Brown: ENIGMA posters and activated the next competition.
We know that some of you haven’t had your posters yet and we are VERY SORRY – this is due to the postal strikes, but it seems to be clearing up now.
For this reason, we’re holding off a little while to make sure everyone who ordered before today is DEFINITELY included. Anyone ordering after today can take part in the competition when you receive your poster (you’ll just be a bit behind).
The prize will be announced soon and it’s going to be very nice – keep your eyes peeled for more codes and you’ll know things have kicked off when you see the rabbit…
jeez £19 for a poster. i love you derren brown but i seriously don’t have enough money for a chees sandwich let alone a poster that’s going to fuck with my mind and keep me up at night.

just a point on the Royal Mail…. The hardworking postpeople are not striking for more pay, but to protect jobs from the slash and burn management who have renaged on previous agreements and are refusing to commit to further talks. . All of us under the Royal Mail banner are proud to be public servants, but please don’t expect us to be shafted without a fight. Striking is always the last resort – no one can afford to lose pay (you don’t get paid when on strike) and no one wants to inconvenience the public who ultimately pay our wages. If you don’t like it, lobby your MP to fight to protect YOUR public services. Thanks.

Who thought of putting it under a UV light?
Now that I’m looking for it, I can see marks on the poster without a UV light, just shine a light near it and move it slightly to see different markings on the surface. Don’t waste your money on a light when you can just use your eyes!!!
@Chloe There were some fairly blatant clues on facebook.
Now we’ve figured out it spells SOLOS and seen the other hidden palindromes what’s next?! Will it point to another website?
Ooh! I can see mine. Didn’t need UV after all. I just moved the poster around until it caught the light.
Shame I didn’t discover that before I went on a mad dash around the house looking for my son’s Harry Potter magic wand with it’s built-in blue LED light!
So what do I do know? Wait for a rabbit? Is this Alice in Wonderland?

I had chicken supernoodles with added chilli flakes, it really blasted the groggy feeling out!

The book I’m reading atm is about John Dee and palindromes, probably just coincidence in respect to the other blog post over there *points*, but there you go.
I’m a student so a poster is out of the question finance wise so I’ll just continue to watch with barely disguised awe 🙂
@Francis – Well that’s strange you saying that cos I had Mild Curry Supernoodles too! I’ve not got a lot of appetite but I really fancied them. About the only thing I’ve eaten all day.

I have managed to check my poster as well, and believe mine says ‘solos’ too. I hope there isn’t much else I need to do for a few days…..not sure my befuddled mind can take much more at the mo! 😉

Lady Claire – according to the rules as I interpret them, and don’t quote me on this, Philis has promised all of us a timeshare in Daniel Craig in a bunny suit for every Enigma poster sold.
And when I say bunny suit, I’m thinking that’s most likely a male version of the Playboy outfit.
You know, floppy ears, hotpants, bowtie and precious little else.
There’s something about him being in a kayak as well, and some kind of rotor engine, but who cares, it’s definately Daniel Craig in a bunny suit.
This is almost certainly not wishful thinking or mindless speculation 😀

I think this was a bit of a spoiler to be honest, whilst a few people had found the dots, explaining they were a code in braille has just given the game away for a lot of people that were still having fun decyphering their posters :/

I ordered two posters, and both say SOLOS at the bottom, maybe we can work out which posters in the run have which words?
Might be a bit of a task though…

@Francis – I have poster #39 and mine says SOLOS too – what number was yours? Phillis did mention “maybe the first 400 have something missing?! – who knows?” so perhaps there are 2 batches?

Hmmmm very odd just got hold of a UV light and got very excited took my poster into a dark room and started searching and nothing. There are a few splots above the word Enigma and some ink splats but other from that nothing zip.
I search the back and front i really wanted there to be a hidden message
Tired of these games now.
And I also notice that now you guys decide to mention the brain hacking too. Haha.

@ Gem – Are the “ink splats” anything like those shown in the You Tube film above? If so that’s the message (Braille apparently). What do the ones above the word Enigma look like? No one’s mentioned them so far…

I’m number 18, and found SOLOS on my poster. Other than it being a palindrome, I haven’t got a clue what’s going on …
Though I do like the fact that I’m part of something – even if I don’t really know what the “something” is!!
I looked again and Iv found dots there just really tricky to read. I’m just trying to translate them know woooow!!!
There little rectangles they look to be in three rows and some on some off looks like Braille and the run down the side of the poster.

I do have photoshop but I can imagine getting strange looks in my household if somebody was to walk in and I have a photo of Derrens face and a models body… Ahem.

Where does the rabbit reference come from guys? I feel I’ve missed something?
also, is the blue box in the corner of the photo of the enigma poster a clue…at the top right of this page you can’t really see it, but if you click on the small picture here http://derrenbrown.co.uk/blog/products-page/ (you may then need to right click and save as… as on my screen the blue box is obscured by the header) looks like :59 secon… don’t recognise it myself, but might help.
Also, I wonder if the palindromically numbered posters have a different clue?
@Jopedder – Read the last sentence what Phillis says in the original blog post, and then read through the posts themselves. Unfortunately some of us have got a little carried away with our bunny references! LOL 😀
