3. I’ve never been able to coplete one of these application surveys, I always get stuck when asked about my greatest achievments, fears and hobbies.

5. Can’t get past page 3! Says I’ve put too much writing in a box, but even if I only put one character in the box it still won’t send. Getting stressed 🙁 Can’t even go back to save my previous answers! Can anyone point me to contact information? x

7. Peter and Becky, I had the same problem, got to page 3 and cut down the answers ridiculously short and they still wouldn’t work! I’m hoping its fixed, I spent ages on it and then lost it trying to to get it to go to page 4. hope it gets fixed!

9. Timo: There’s a drop-down menu on the form that lets you select your country, so I’m assuming it’s not British-only.
10. After clicking ‘Next’ on Page 3 it says:

    Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

    What you can try:

    It appears you are connected to the Internet, but you might want to try to reconnect to the Internet.

    Retype the address.

    Go back to the previous page.

    Most likely causes:
    •You are not connected to the Internet.
    •The website is encountering problems.
    •There might be a typing error in the address.

    What can I do???

11. Mark, I filled it out in Firefox yesterday and it worked perfectly fine. Maybe you need to try opening it in another browser? If that doesn’t work, Abeo provided a link to the people who support it just a few posts up.

13. I ran into the same problems as everybody else, but there is a solution. When Derren is involved, I’m not going to assume that the “problems” were not somehow deliberate, so I’m not about to state my solution. I will say that I am worthless with computers and that it took me an extra few hours to implement. Good luck to all!
14. Am I the only one who became a little concerned when getting to the next of kin question? What is Derren planning to do with us?
15. I would recommend to everyone that they save their answers in a Word document as they go along just in case the thing crashes. Just finished redo-ing my entire application. Good luck to all!

    I’ve been having the same problems with the word limits even though my answers are way below the limits said. I got in touch with the wufoo people and they came back with:

    “Hi Kathy, sounds like there’s an issue with the form or perhaps the form is reaching the storage limit. Please contact the person or organization that has sent you this form and let them know of this issue. They’ll need to contact us directly for support at http://wufoo.com/support so that we can access their account and form setup.

    Jen”

    Not sure what to do next?

20. I get same problem here, the form gives an error saying one of my answers has too much text but the available character/word count is well below the limit!

    the link to Wufoo isnt much help….what exactly are we supposed to do?

21. I can’t get past page 3 it says I used too many words.
    I emailed the form provider and they said I may have reached the max for the for as some times if there are lots of paragraphs it fills up and said to contact the company the form relates to.
    Any one else managed to submit yet.

    I have not filled any boxes too much and have trimmed like crazy. I contacted the Wufoo support desk and they said that this was not an issue they could deal with and said that it would be supported by whomever made the questionnaire.

31. on my 4th attempt i got my application filled, kept losing connection….felt a bit stupid repeating the info every attempt…particularly if you were trying to be light hearted, got heavier each attempt….felt like putting ‘tenatious slash obsessive’ in section describing self based on the 4th attempt drama…maybe its a selection technique – oh ch#*t i’m getting paranoid already!
32. On the final page, I had the same “unable to edit entry #7145” issue. I’ve contacted wufoo as suggested and their lightning fast response was…

    “You have reached the support desk of Wufoo.com, a company that helps people easily create web forms to collect information over the internet. You may be trying to contact someone who has used our services, but you would need to contact them directly with any questions or comments you may have.”

    What can you suggest, Abeo?

33. Hi all,

    We’ve been in contact with Wufoo (the people who run the forms) and they’ve made a few suggestions which we are trying.

    Please have another go and let us know if it’s still failing, I’d strongly suggest keeping your answers in a word/text document as you go along in case the same happens again.
    I’d also suggest perhaps trying with another browser (such as Google Chrome).

    If it does fail again, can you email me letting us know which browser – admin@derrenbrown.co.uk

34. Rather than stuggle with the form, may we simply mail you our answers? It’s the information that’s the important thing rather than the method of delivery?

35. Hello, this isn’t a comment on this post as such. I would like to subscribe to this blog, so I get notified when there are new entries. However, when I click, on any post, on the ‘Subscribe’ word and icon at the top right of the post, I am instead directed to the comments. Would be very grateful if you could tell me how to get round this – or simply use the email address I have given and subscribe me straightaway.     Is it strange to anyone else that we’re getting a four digit error message which changes for each person? or is it randomly assigned to each application form?

44. Some of the form do not match with the description below them.
    For instance on the last page there is a box underneath the question ‘what made you apply for this show?’
    It says that you have 200 words for that question. I made all the questions in words (because the first time the browser crashed and I lost all my entries) and when I paste the answer of 112 word into the box it gets cut-off after 47 words or something. This probably was the case in other questions as wel.

    What to do now??

46. I applied a while ago and now I’m regretting it! Just watched the episode of trick or treat where they made this poor girl witness her own death in a car accidnt and she actually thought she was dead and looking down over her own body. I don’t want something like that to happen to me!! Scared!
47. I submitted the application form but forgot to fill in one of the questions. The question had a red star next to it so I’m not sure why it let me submit my application. Anyway, should I resubmit it with all the questions answered? Is that ok? I’m not trying to apply twice. Is there another way to get that answer to where ever it needs to go? Thanks.
