2. Derek Acorah is a money grabbing fraud! Only HE could do something like this to get richer! He should be ashamed of himself! He is one sick individual! He will only say what every MJ fan already knows about or what has been put in papers etc! His triad will boil down to, yes Michael was murdered or wasn’t, he misses his children and loves them very much and though it hurts him to be away from his children and family, he will always be there with them but is happy where he is now and is ffeeling a great sense of peace.
   And i don’t have to be that good to figure that that will be said at some point!

David & lk I couldnt agree more the show will go ahead depsite its vulgarity and disrepect a petition is already floating about to ofcom the link to follow if any MJ fan or a human being with values wants to add their name then would be appreciated by whoever started it. 17. Did you watch it, Derren? I did, for purely professional reasons. I’m a TV columnist (but don’t hold that against me, please). That’s an hour of my life I’ll never get back. Still, at least Michael Jackson can’t complain about losing an hour of his afterlife, because he never showed up.

The trouble with the paranormal is that when someone believes, it really doesn’t matter how much evidence you put in front of them to disprove the existence of ghosts/spirits/angels/life after death et al. Believe me – I’ve tried convincing people myself and got nowhere! Personally I can’t understand why DA is getting more airtime, especially after the Most Haunted fiasco – perhaps his agents thought that enough time had passed for the dust to have settled… My fave MH moment was the Live! they did in Brixham – the same “spirit” appeared twice during the run in different locations as he got it wrong on the first night……hilarious!

Although I’ll admit to enjoying watching him on Most Haunted, I was always sceptical of Derek Acorah, a little too theatrical in his presentation of ‘mediumship’, and wasn’t particularly surprised when their resident parapsychologist caught him out. That said, and because I know one of the participants, I tuned in tonight …

    Hmmm, either DA truly believes he’s in contact with the afterlife or is a grotesquely exploitative individual. If it’s the latter then these fans were knowingly horribly humiliated in front of millions of viewers. I’m fascinated by the like of Most Haunted, but this show just seemed tasteless. 24. I was horrified and embarresed by the super fans who were completely duped by Derek Acorah last night. His so called communication with the king of pop was an absolute farce and he used and abused these poor deluted and lets face it slightly disturbed fans. It was terrible to watch the way he manipulated the fans that clearly need some councelling rather than a seance. Derek has been caught out on several occasions as being a fake and even Yvette Fielding and Kieran O’kieff have come out and publically recognised his ‘spiritual’ work as being a shame.

26. I watched it just to see how pathetic Derek could be and he didn’t let me down. The ‘superfans’ were brainwashed and need help. No evidence, nothing at all to prove he was speaking to anyone apart from his imagination. David Guest spoke a load of rubbish too – why wasn’t he at the table asking MJ questions? The ONE question that got asked, about the favourite performing place really stumbled Derek, had to think hard there to come up with a flipping unnamed racecourse in England with no info to support it! What is it about it that riles him? I’m not condemning his view, I just don’t see any actual reasons on his part to explain his belief. You all seem to suffer from the same flaw. 32. Someone else said that mediums “piss around”. I’ve seen very convincing readings by mediums. I’ve interviewed mediums and they’ve provided me with very convincing, seemingly conclusive proof that they are contacting a family member. And I’m not easily convinced. A lot of you are appauled by mediums and their “cold readings”. I’d love to see some of you try and recreate what I’ve seen these mediums do. So explain to me someone, the exact trics these people use. I advise you to go on to youtube and watch ‘Three mediums theatre show’, featuring Derek himself. He is very convincing. I’d love for someone (perhaps Derren himself) to dissect a part.

34. I’m not sure I agree that there is no scientific evidence. It depends on your classification of evidence and science. Bare in mind that science is based on a physical model of our universe and reality. Therefore, it is difficult (if not impossible) to prove the existance of something beyond the physical, because it is beyond the construct of conventional science). That is not to say that scientists aren’t interested. If you research things like EVP, you will see that it has a scientific backing, as it is meant to be the non-physical interacting with the physical. I am also sure that mediums have worked in controlled conditions with scientists. Have a look at the three mediums’ on youtube, and tell me how it’s done.

    – and yet I am 100% definite there is no scientific evidence. There’s not one jot. No papers, no peer reviewed science and no reliable results. It’s not up for us to prove it exists, it’s up to you. I can claim that I am psychic by just saying it then claim that you can’t prove I’m not, that doesn’t make me psychic, it makes me a liar. EVP has no scientific backing and no evidence for it’s existence. James Randi will pay you $1Million dollars if you can prove it to be so. 35. I just watched Messiah. I’ll briefly give my own position on the subject of mediums. I am not utterly convinced by what they do, however I will readily admit that I have been bamboozeled by the readings they have given. What bemused me about Messiah was the lack of any explanation as to how he achieved his success rate. When giving the medical evidence he seemed to get most of it right. So how? Where is his explanation? Similarly, his cold readings were very convincing. “I’m getting Lucy Lilly who has passed on” he says to a woman, and the woman mentions Lucy. He never explained the tricks he used. This episode was certainly interesting, but not enlightening, because I’m more confused than enlightened. Fascinating stuff. 36. I’m prepared for the indignation this will probably bring down on me, but, while I was doubtful about the seance, the show before it, the search for his spirit, was very powerful; I think they got him!
    I was in tears watching the seance – how much those fans loved Michael really made me emotional, because, though I’m doubtful that was him, really there; if he was, then he must know how much love and joy he brought to people. I mean, I’m a teenager, I should be weirded by MJ, but I’m not. I love him; have done since I was 10. I was shattered when he died. I sent him letters. Having seen some of this the first time it was shown on Sky and then watching it again all the way through on Saturday 14th November what can you say apart from what a load of old S**T. Derek Acorah recently got escorted off an aeroplane whilst being so drunk he got nasty! Maybe too many spirits turned up or were drunk, maybe someone called him a fraud (although we already know that he is) on the flight. Giving people false hope is wrong dont listen.
