All done!
The 2009 Enigma Tour finished last night with a great night in Glasgow. Aside from one drunken woman who annoyed the audience and performer in the first half, (thankfully she left after security had a chat with her in the interval) the show was a terrific one to end on. I took a photograph of everyone as a memento. Here you all are:
Look at you, all dressed up and out for the evening. That’s what I look at every night, when the house lights come up. Bless any of you who think I can hit a stooge with a frisbee when it’s pitch black too.Â
Thank you to everyone  who came along to see the touring show. Thank you to those who travelled; who spent ludicrous amounts on ebay tickets or more than they could justify on the regular ones; who came as birthday treats; who queued in the cold or rain; who brought sweet and touching gifts. We all enjoyed this tour more than any other, and are very excited to be bringing it to town. I only managed to get about twenty pages of the new book written, which brings me up to nearly a hundred, but I shall persevere during my days in London.Â
A final thank you to the excellent bar staff of the Radisson SAS in Glasgow for looking after us so well: Ash, Mirka, the glorious Rebecca and others.Â
Please keep the secrets secret and the surprises surprising! Thank you for all being so good so far. I’m heading out for dinner to catch up with my beloved. Much love to the lot of you, and see even more of you in London.Â

sorrrry. i had had a couple by the time i had got there! =(
Already looking forward to seeing you on your next tour. Thank you for entertaining us all.
I wish I was there. 🙁
The Enigma tour is really rocking!
so glad you had such a fantastic time, i can’t to see a dvd of the tour, it sucks when your fav entertainer lives miles away x
No, thank you for an amazing show. Plus thanks for signing my book in Norwich!
You have a well deserved rest now, Derren. So glad the tour went well 😀 Maybe you’ll come back to my part of the world (Belfast) next time?! 😉
Hope you get to enjoy a few free days. It’s been a pleasure keeping up with all of you and the tour’s progress these past few months.
Take care and lotsa love xxx
Thanks so much, me and my friends had an amazing time! We booked the tickets in January for the june 4th show as a treat for the end of our higher exams (kind of like a levels:P)
it was the only thing that kept the three of us with our head in the books knowing that the more we study the quicker time will pass and the sonner it will be to see you!
The notes we passed continuously in class saying things like this time next month we will be getting ready to see you or soon we will be out this room and in the concert hall!
We hoped it was going to be the highlight of your year – and we werent wrong!
Thanks Derren for kick starting our summer with such an amazing show and for taking the time to meet us after 🙂
Lots of Love
Megan
ps – my favourite word is still box 🙂

Good luck for the London run x
Abig thanks to you your show is awesome xx
Thank you for a wonderful evening Derren!
I just couldn’t understand why that woman even bothered coming to the show last night and being drunk is no excuse, as one audience member put it, she was nothing but an a-hole.
All the best for your London shows
Glad it all went well. I’m still desperate to see you live after a logistical balls up in Manchester. Can’t wait for the next tour. You best be doing one 🙂
Hi Derren… I came to see you in Sheffield and was amazed!
I’ll be seeing you again in London on the 15th as a treat for my Birthday ….
Hope you enjoy a few days off before it starts all over again.
Regards
Sarah x

Came to the show last Thursday in Glasgow, was slightly worried about my photo being taken before the show but thankfully nothing weird happened to me! Amazing show, was completely astounded by all of the things that happened! Will definitely come to the next tour!
I really enjoyed your enigma show.
I saw it in the B I C down in dorset.
Loved the finale and still sing it to myself….you really do know how to get in someones head lol.
I came to see you in something wicked this way comes in weymouth to and I did wonder if you could top that performance and I am pleased to say you did….you rock the show….and I cannot wait to see what else is in store from you.
I have finished your trick of the mind book and cannot wait for the new book you have started.
Good luck Derren and I hope you get a break at some point….you deserve it!
Derren, your show last night was outstanding. I do hope you enjoyed touring the U.K. and showing off your amazing abilities.
I was also glad that you took the time to sign my book, as well as everyone else’s stuff. I hope you liked the little gift I made for you too, as a thank you for such a brilliant show. It was a great privilege.
I got to bully Coops a little too. 🙂 Haha kidding. My bullying is truly evil so I would never do that o.O
I will be more than happy to see your next tour as well. Come to Glasgow again! Makes it easier for me 😮 lol.
Go forth you genius. You are a one of a kind. Good luck and have fun.
James.
Congratulations on finishing the tour! Well done!
Must be good to have some days off before the London shows
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the Glasgow show last night. Shame about the drunken woman but everyone else seemed to thoroughly enjoy the show and I hope you felt that your last night went well. I hope to see you in London.
PS I can’t quite make out where I am in the photograph but I am definately there somewhere.
Enjoy dinner tonight and relax before the London shows begin.
Much love
xx
@Melissa, Much agreement! Grimsby is very greatful (&lucky) that someone like Derren would bring their tour here,
Hope to see Derren, Coops & everyone again soon!!
Hope Derren & the gang have a good & well deserved break & Good luck for the London run. (as if you need it!)
Keping the show a secret is really difficult, I’ve been getting grief from people at work cos’ I won’t tell them what happened. The first thing you wan’t to do after a show like that is tell everyone you’ve ever met what happened!! I hope channel 4 will show a recording soon so I can talk to more people about it!! XX
I wonder about the drunk woman … what’s her story?
Totally in love with Brown? Gone a bit too far ? She at least got his personal attention … although, I’m not sure if she’d wished for that type of attention from Derren … bye bye dreams …
Ehehe … couldn’t have been me? Could it?
Nah, I’d seek for other ways if I’d wanted to annoy someone .. or get attention I guess …
Nice theatre, looks like a few we have overhere.
Now then …
I had ten little ducks in my pool … brought by their mother … beats looking at an audience ..
Derren
Have you ever considered tour dates in the US? Id definitely travel to see a show, dont know if i could justify cross country and cross ocean though. 🙁 Grats on completion. Cant wait for the DVD(please say there will be a DVD).
Last night in Glasgow……utterly AMAZING! 🙂
I KNOW I KEEP POSTING THIS BUT IT’S ONLY BECAUSE I LOVE YOUR OWRK SOO MUCH LOL.
im ellie, im 14 and i love derren’s worK. i went to see the Enigma Tour in Glasgow on the 4th June (front row seats :D) and i thought it was AMAZING :D, i’d just like to say i think you are fantastic and that im defo gonna see your tour again 😀 xxxxxxxxxx <3
I travelled all the way to Manchester from Leeds, my very first time driving on the motorway. I could have died! but t’would have been so worth it!!!!!!! I’m still totally bamboozled.
Last night in Glasgow….utterly AMAZING!! 🙂
We saw you at the harrogate International Centre as a present for my GF for her birthday. It was an amazing show and loved every minute of it! Though you did say you didn’t think much of our venue and your mic didn’t work!
Fantastic show Derren. Was told you weren’t doing any after-show signing so didn’t hang around to say hello. It appears this was mis-information. Ah well. Fantastic performance. Some great presentations of classic effects. You and Andy make one helluva team. Loved the ending. Nuff said. This was your best yet. Well done.
Derren, I came to see you in Glasgow for your last night and you were amazing!!!! My best friend bought the tickets for me for my 21st Birthday back in March!
Thanks for a fantastic night and for getting that stupid woman kicked out! I could have strangled her!!! Claire -x-
From everyone in Northampton , home of the shoe , I just wanted to say from the bottom of my heaving bossom and Pinot grigiot bottle that you are an enigma to be wondered, loved , appreciated and respected. You bring a smile to others when it has been lost and a sign of life to an imagination that was forgotten in childhood. My gift to you ( I appologise for it not being wrapped ) is a simple thankyou from me to you and a hope that you continue to reap the happiness that you give to so many others. X
Fabulous show! Just want to talk about it but I can’t! My fiance didn’t manage to go and all I want to do is till him everything but he won’t listen as he wants it to be a surprise, for if/when he sees it! Again thank you for signing my book and making my night/month/year! Everyone is fed up with me as all I have spoken about since Friday is that i met Derren! Glasgow show on Friday was amazing! Good luck with the London shows!
Thank you so much for an amazing show last night, I was totally spellbound!
I’d love to pick your brain haha, I find it all so fascinating, truly amazing.
Roll on next tour, I’ll be back!
(PS that woman was lucky she never got a glasgae kiss, tit.)
YAY! There’s me in the very back right corner! Luckily I moved to slighlty better seats next to my friend when a couple of folk never showed up. Either that or the usher lied to me and moved me to be annoying. Anyway, last night was outstanding! I always wonder how Derren can make each tour better than the last. AMAZING! x
Loved seeing the show in Grimsby, congratulations on the end of the Touring Show, and all the best with the London run. Please please either extend the run or come back Oop North again this year.
In the meanwhile, enjoy your days off.
Hugs to the team.
xx
Alright, I confess to convincing friends who’d seen the show to tell me all the secrets! In my defense (and theirs), we are in the US, they’d just returned from the UK, and I won’t get the chance to see it.
One of these years I’ll plan a UK trip around seeing a Derren show, but alas it is not to be this year.
Well done on a superb tour, I’m much looking forward to watching it next year, as I didn’t get to go this year. You must all let us know when tickets are available for 2010 to remind us.
Quite glad I went on the Friday then – no drunk people ruining it.
Although I did go to get my book signed on the Sunday anyway 🙂
Congratulations on finishing the show have a well earned rest before your long stint in London. As always it was an amazing few days that i spent watching your tricks and wonder “how god how does he do it” you keep me up all night thinking lol. I cant wait for the new show in september, the new book and of course the next show. You have a brilliant team coops, jennie and and ian.. I have pics of them on my Fb and i have there autgraphs as they are amazing in there own right.
I read the local press in the Newcastles Evening Chronicle about the show and they didnt give any thing away however I did not like her remark about ” Brown could have tighetend up the show by doing something while we waited for the audiemce to come on stage”
What the heck where you going to do tell jokes… stupid woman.
Good luck for the rest of the show and have some well deserved FUN!!!!!

I knew I was watching someone special back in 2002. I was watching Inside your mind series and it was the episode which had Chris Ryan talking Derren through an assault course, you know the bit – loved that!
I was so excited about going to see Something wicked this way comes, and then Evening of Wonders. Then this year with Enigma was just mind blowing. Also thank you for being so nice after the show too, I really appreciate it. Thank you for rocking Plymouth – the best
nights out I have had here 😀 .Hopefully see you next year from the slightly crazed one lol xx
Thank-you for an amazing show in Oxford, despite the illness!
Now that you’re done though, any chance you could sit my psychology exam for me tomorrow? Just asking…
REALLY looking forward to see it in good ol’ london.
anyone at the 18th of june? would love to meet some of you, since i am coming on my own.
can’t wait!
Woo hoo I think I can see me.. yeah that dot at the side lol 😉
Saw the finale show in Glasgow and it was utterly brilliant. Since the tour started and people have been commenting on how amazing it was…I thought nothing could be THAT good. I was wrong! 😀
I felt Derren coped extremely well with the tube-a-lube drunk women (getting her to point herself out then telling her to shut the f*ck up hopefully made her feel a little bit silly!)
I was rather chuffed at meeting Derren afterwards 😀 a genuinely lovely guy who I was slightly surprised (in the nicest possible way) that he look the time to personalize everything he singned rather than just scribbling his name. It’s the wee things like that that just top off a awesome night.
All the best for London……it was a pleasure! 😀
Hey!
Utterly amazing show! I Loved somethinging wicked, wondered if u could top it. but you totally did! My reaction at the finale was to turn to my friend and say ‘fucking hell’. We were their on the last night, we r up top on the left somewhere! Thanks so much for sticking out the cold scottish weather to sign our tickets and programes! In ur post you thank those who travelled. That would be me and my friend, four hours on a bus is not pleasant for someone who gets car sick, totally worth it though! My friend and i are struggling to be apart we just want to talk about it!
Can not wait for ‘the event’ and hopefully a new tour in the coming years?! Again, Enigma = mindblowing. It was bloody amazing.
[and i quite agree that ‘earth’ is NOT pronouced ‘arth’!
thanks agaun for the most amazing night of my life!
Elizabeth xxXx
I went to see you in Glasgow on the 5th! I travelled from Aberdeen to see the show and I absolutely loved it.
I also met you after the show where you signed my programme and ticket, thank you! You remembered me as one of the people from the photos. 🙂
Thank you for the wonderful evening, I’ll definately go and see the show again next year.
Last night at GLASGOW totally blew me and my family away. The drunk bitch was in row D and only two seats away from my dad whom I had to embaress by leaning across and telling her to shut it again just after you told her to shut the …. up! Unfortunately you looked at a woman in the side aisle who also shouted out. The twat was in seat D10 / 11 alongside her equally obnoxious and inebraited friend and for some bizarre reason she and her friend were overheard by us planning to up the ante and get thrown out in the 2nd half!!!!!!! By that point enough had been had of bints interruptions and we had to tell security in the bar area. I dont get why someone would get that drunk they would think they could annoy everyone else. Can I tell you that despite the bint we had the best nights entertainment in I dont know how long and I dont care how you did it we loved getting our minds well and truly messed with!!!! Only sad bit is that mum felt really old though afterwards as she and dad are in their 60’s and she kept going on about how the audience was really young although dad loved it but despite that mum still couldnt get away with how you did it neither could we right enough! Im glad you didnt go to the SECC or anywhere larger as the concert hall audience was just the right size. THANKYOU THANKYOU THANKYOU AND please please please come again and turn – as we say about here – ‘our heids intae mince!’ Oh and one last comment about super twat the guy sat in front of us was bang on when you asked him why she was doing it and he replied fast as – because she’s an ars@*$!e FUNNY AS AND NUFF SAID!
Dear Mr. Derren,
Sorry I was not able to make last nights show in person however I was able to astral-project “my aura” to your location during the show. I placed “my aura” in the Balcony section which would have been up and to your left while you were on the stage. I’ll do my best to tone down the brightness next time. If you feel that I should pay for the show, even though I was not there in person, send me your email that you use for Pay-Pal and let me know the amount.
hmm yeh slightly bigger than the Bloomsbury that one! well done on finishing the tour!! see you in London! xx
