The Mirror and the Sun are correct. I’ve just got up, or you’d have got it earlier yourselves. I shall try and predict at least 5 out of the 6 balls correctly. I apologise now if it goes boobs-up.
This the culmination of a LOT of secret work and research. On Weds night, live at 10.35 pm, it will cut across all Channel 4 channels, and be broadcast on buildings in
• London – Tate Modern
• Manchester – Premier Lodge(back-up Deansgate Lock)
• Birmingham– 5-ways Entertainment Complex/Bull-ring (Moor St Side as back-up)
• Edinburgh– Hunter Square(back-up Museum of Scotland)
Then, on the first Friday night EVENTS one-hour special (9pm, C4, Fri 11th), I’ll show you how I did it.
The following Fridays will offer other ambitious live or interactive stunts and treats:
– A subliminal piece of media that will stick you to your seats at home.
– A nationwide psychic experiment
– A casino-related scam with a twist.
I’ll let you know more each week.

The “Jonathan Creek method” was the TV screen was on a few seconds delay, just enough time for someone planted, to tell the magician what the numbers were by transmitting a code or something through as a pulse using morse code and a microphone or something to that effect.
SGC: I can do 2 balls in one hand and 3 balls in 2 hands no problem… but chuck another ball in and I’m hopeless. We must find out the secret to his success!

His show is on at the same time as the draw, its obvious that he will simply be getting the feed from the lottery studio momentarily before us and announcing the balls thus. Theres nothing special about it and its in no way a “prediction”. If you really want to PREDICT the balls Derren…have your show on Tuesday night instead of at the same time as the draw and announce the balls then. Typical charlatan media hyping for viewing figures.

hi good luck for wed hope it lives up to the hype its caused but surely if we all buy a ticket with the 5 numbers youve predicted and we actually get the sixth wont than mean that because of the amount of winners wether it be 4, 5, 5 n bonus or even 6 that the prize would surely be so low we would prob be lucky to get back are quid? but hey il be buyin ….just in case gl on all the shows lookin forward to them all

I love Jonathan Creek, do you reckon Lotto HQ would let them intercept the live feed? Maybe it’s something to do with the pattern, or lack of pattern in the history of the balls… but there wouldn’t be a pattern if the balls were picked at random.. I dunno, just glad I don’t have to predict the Lottery!
I am sooo taking part in the other Events though! Gonna be gooood! I don’t think I’ve been this excited about a program since… ever!

Come on guys! For how good he is,Derren is not able to really predict the lottery numbers.
If he was,he would keep the numbers for himself and buy a ticket.For how good contract he might have with Channel4,still isn´t as good as winning the lottery!

He cant predict the numbers- FACT.
I can’t see him trying the time delay thing. Surely he would need to be in cahoots with the Beeb and Camelot for this too? I wouldnt completely rule that out= Awesome publicity!
My guess is he might get one or two numbers max, but the numbers he gets wrong might be close to the ones drawn, either way i expect a massively fantastic twist on the show on Friday. (Don’t disapoint me Dazza) Roll on Friday, that will be 10 times better then Wednesday methinks.
Also Derren, not a cat in hells chance you are getting me to stick to my sofa. That means i’ve already won (or lost?!)… right??!! 😉

Shouldn’t it be “This IS the culmination” and “it will cut across” It? Whats “it”? The Event? It doesnt read right to me does it?. I can see “LOT” is probably/might be a clue- as for the others-having trouble deciding if they are mistakes or subtle clues. Help anyone? philis? Abeo? :0) Thank you :0)”
Okay everyone, its getting close now, crunch time to play or not … why are the lotto balls in the advert the wrong colours? Surely with all the planning and research that goes into a stunt like this they would have got this right? No draw has those colours for those numbers. If its a code rather than exact numbers then its too obscure to be impressive for the reveal in my opinion. Want to place bets but this litterally feels like Derren shouting ALL IS NOT RIGHT WITH THE 5 NUMBERS! Is it another tactic to reaffirm peoples automatic reaction to the stunt ie. its a con… suspect this may be a double bluff, I say ignore it and believe, I think half the poeple will bottle it when it comes to parting with even a quid, despite the fact they have as much chance as a lucky dip anyway.
Aha! My last comment said it is “awaiting moderation”. This leads me to believe that it is not going to be any of the methods discussed so far in these comments sections. I doubt he would allow the real method to be discussed on these pages if someone had sniffed it out early!

My guess that the Manchester Travel Lodge will be at G-mex (on account of the back-up is Deansgate). This is just a GUESS, however… DO NOT hold me responsible if you end up missing the show – I’ve already told you that it’s not a cert.
