Nearly the end…
There you are.
Having had a look at your comments, I was surprised that people thought I had asked for you to signh the Singh thingh. I re-read the post and realised that the quote at the end, from Simon, sounds like a plea from me. I wanted to raise awareness of the case, but please don’t sign anything unless you want to, and also understand and happen to agree with it. And as several of you have pointed out, this isn’t about whether or not chiropractors’ claims stand up, it’s about the appropriateness of libel as a way of silencing disagreement and avoiding debate.Â
I’m now in Glasgow, for the last venue of the tour. It’s coming to an end. I then get a week for radio interviews, a bit of filming, and some discussions about changing anything in the show, and then we’re into dress runs at the Adelphi. Oh – what’s this?
Now that looks very handsome, doesn’t it? Oh yes it does. Look at those people walking past, all excited about it. They literally cannot believe it! Imagine the faces of their children when they get home and tell them what they’ve seen!
First night in Newcastle was marred by some lights not working right at the end, so you couldn’t quite see what was going on. The audience response to the finale was, understandably, the weakest of the tour. But a fun night nonetheless, and apart from this upset, it was a good show. The following two nights were great – some of the better moments of the tour, in fact. And some lovely people, as ever, hanging around outside, although I didn’t get much signing time. Apologies to anyone disappointed in the fact I had to rush past scribbling so illegibly on programmes, breasts and tickets.Â
Glasgow was terrific last night: we have a couple of nights here at the Royal Concert Hall, a night off (the show has to be packed away), and then back up again for the final night on Sunday. A lovely city and venue to be finishing in. An exciting last little run and then we’re all getting geared up for the press night in London.Â
Good Morning x
Went to the first show in Newcatle it was wicked!
thanks signing my book. 🙂
Thanks once again for a remarkable show in Newcastle last Wed – and rushed or not, you were just lovely outside afterwards! I take my imaginary hat off to you, monsieur. And offer several imaginary cups of tea for your soon-deserved rest!
Elise xx
Every year gets better. We were there for the final Newcastle night. What a finale!! See you next year
Good morning 😀 So glad the tour has gone so well for you; am just sorry I missed you 🙁 Maybe next year?! Best of luck on Sunday for the finale – I’m sure you’ll be fabulous and lovely as ever 🙂
Take care and all the best as ever xxx
Going to the Glasgow show tonight, can’t wait!!
Well, welcome to sort-of-sunny Glasgow!!! I’m looking forward to the show on Sunday 😀 I hope we send you off to London with a bang, in the nicest possible way!
Enjoy Glasgow, it’s a beautifull city if you remember to look up at the lovely buildings and not along the street at the neds! 😛 The Merchant City has the nicest places to relax on the day off.
If i happen to see any Derren’s crew or Derren himself, I shall wave…then probably run away in excitement 😛
I hope there’s time for signings after the show on Sunday
x
amasing show last night!, still VERY confused about what happend! x
I always look forward to your foodie recommendations. No mention of Newcastle or Glasgow restaurants;were they really that bad?
Wait, what? Derren Brown reads these comments? Shit.
Hi there gorgeous!
Well done and congrats are in order for all yours and gangs hard work – I thoroughly enjoyed the show and certainly a night I do not wish to forget.
Take care friends – love you all 😉 XXXXXXXXXX
Busy at the moment selling some of my nature photos – proceeds going to the great Parrot Zoo. Sold my first one last night! £10 winging its way to a good cause! X

Was at the glasgow show last night thought it was amazing thanks so much for a fantastic nights entertainment!! No idea how you do anyhting you do but I guess that probably the point lol. Thanks and good luck with the rest of the run x
I admire your breast signing capabilities Mr Brown. I simply must catch you on tour sometime.
Went to see the show last night, absolutely incredible. Good luck with the final part of the tour, and thanks for seeing all of us after the show, you really are a gentleman. =]
I was at the show last night, it was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for coming out to sign afterwards, absolutely made my year!
Oh and Coops, thanks for the picture, you are a hundred times cuter in the flesh, this blog doesn’t do you any justice! 😛
I’m SO excitied for the Adelphi!!! It’s been a long wait, however, a dark cloud that was linguring above me all day yesterday was shifted just for a moment when I read a text from my freind saying …. 44 DAYS TO GO!!! ( untill we see Derren on the 17th July! ) HORRAY!!! – Just thought I would share my excitment and enthusiasm!
xxx
I’m not going to make it along to the Glasgow shows this time, too busy and too skint. Hope it goes brilliantly.
If you have any spare time while you’re here, you should go and check out the Britannia Panopticon Music Hall, it is astonishing.

Hi Derren — I have tickets for Weds 17th June. I would love an autograph after the show … is this something you do regularly or do I have to be really lucky?
Adelphi is looking good. Should be there on the 20th, alas, on my own.
THANK YOU THANK YOU, Amazing show last night in Glasgow even though I was up in the gods and unable to grab a frisbee 🙁 it has been the highlight of my week
However even though I bought the program I was saddened no kiosk with t-shirts, mugs with your mug on, Derren Brown thongs (erm) , or Derren Sporrans, DVD’s or your new portrait book on sale to truly capitalize. You could have even put in a subliminal message to “buy now or small children will suffer, the more you buy the more you want”
best wishes
An astonished hypnotherapist 🙂
I’m going tonight as well. Took long enough to get here.
Yes, I agree. It’s _very_ handsome and I’m sure those peoples children can’t believe their ears when parents are telling them what they’ve seen! 😀
Have a nice show in London. I can’t wait to see you and hopefully shake your hand afterwards to thank. Oh, and don’t worry – I promise not to induct you :p
Very handsome indeed! Of course they are excited by the presence of your massive head above them. They are just deciding to play it cool because although it is miles away and they are not even looking in that direction, they are aware of the camera capturing their tiny images.
Glad you have enjoyed the tour. Sheffield was fantastic and it was great to meet you after. You are a genius and a gentleman. Best of luck for the London run and I hope you get some rest.
I am gutted that I missed the tour this time round.
I’ve heard loads of great things about it though – which makes me more jealous.
Glasgow was terrific last night. I went with a friend who had never been to one of the shows before and she loved it, so much so that she insisted on having her mobile phone signed! Thank you for a lovely evening and for being so friendly x
Saw the Glasgow show lastnight it absolutely amazing I still can’t get my head round the whole thing, just unbelievable! Come back to Glasgow next year, I will definitely see you then!
You are just fantastic =) xxx
ah, you always point out good petitions/campaigns so of course we want to join you in supporting. wow – amazing photo – must have one of you posing in front of the theatre when you arrive. Good luck with Glasgow. xx
:-)hehe, love your comments on the piccie…Have a good one tonight!
Sounds like a busy coming next pre-week, instead of a relaxing one, my goody…
x
Cor blimey Gov! Sounds busy, busy, busy and everybody wants a piece of ya. Hope you get to have a break soon 🙂
Saw you in Plymouth, am now officially obsessed! Brilliant !!
Good luck – you’ll blow them away!
x
saw you in Norwich… fab night! I walked past the threatre and saw the same poster as above and shouted “look theres Derren!!!! ” Suffice to say my accompanying friend nearly crapped herself and proceeded to see if she looked okay in her mirror…. ha it was only your poster!!
Love love love what you do and your shows x
yes, the adelphi looks very grand as does derren. looks like theyve spelt enema wrong tho.
I too have tickets for the 17th of June show and will be waiting patiently at stage door with my book/breasts/programme… From what I have read it seems Derren is a real gent and always makes the effort to sign 🙂
Okay, guys. Nobody panic. We’ve all said things we shouldn’t about renaming various TV series and TV specials and what someone may or may not have done to kittens, or innocent young women in lakes, and now we know that those comments may have been read. However, it’s going to be ok. Just remember these things:
Derren Brown’s vision is based largely on movement. If you hear him hunting in your area, freeze. He’ll walk right by you. Resist temptation to shine a light in his direction to pinpoint his exact location. That will enrage and attract him towards you.
Like most people, he can probably be appeased with a sandwich or a biscuit or something. Don’t leave your house without one of those two things. If he sees you and it’s too late to freeze, throw the food item at him while screaming how sorry you are for commenting on his blog. Run and do not look back. I cannot stress that last part enough.
Personally, I’m literally wearing a camo t-shirt that says “you can’t see me” on the front right now. Also I am on another continent. You guys, however, are pretty screwed.
Sadly am not seeing you on tour this time (my bro is going to London, just look out for a David Beckham look-a-like…I kid you not! :-o)
I wish you all the best for the rest of the shows and it’s lovely to hear you sounding so happy and well in yourself.
Take good care,
LC x
Derren,
Last night night’s show was marred by some idiot I had the misfortune to sit beside. I had tickets in the front row and this “lady” who had clearly had one too many was sitting eating sweets, fidgeting, snogging her boyfriend and then started to heckle you! She seriously ruined for me what was a brilliant show and I remember you commenting she was eating sweets.
Aside from that, thank you for coming to Glasgow again and I look forward to seeing you in the future, hopefully with people who can appreciate you, rather than disrespect you.
Cheers
Drew
How exciting! It’s nearly the London shows! Im going in a few weeks and I am very excited as I’ve never been to derren’s shows before! Only seen them on DVD. I’m so excited that I keep telling people at work and now no one is talking to me. Sods.
P.S try explaining what derren does to a Chinese collegue, whose english is not great! It is a challenge! If anyone thinks of a good way of summing it up please let me know!
Also LOL @ “signh the Singh thingh.”
JennyH, try staring intently, flailing your arms, screaming and falling down. That’s what I do around people whose English isn’t great to explain pretty much anything. Seems to work. They stop asking questions, anyway.
I saw you at Norwich and left a fan… Dammit didn’t realise you sign breasts…… oh well… next time look out for me. xxx
I really enjoy reading Derrens posts. They always make me giggle. Wish I could come to the show at the Adelphi but did already see it in Bournemouth so wouldn’t want to ruin it for myself. Feels like ages ago now though! Got my trick of the mind DVD’s the other day, so will have to finish watching them instead! Hope everyone has a great weekend :o) x
Awesome. Derren is in teh Glasgow 😀
BTW – I am in the process of making a little gift for you and it will probably be finished tonight (do not be alarmed, it is nothing weird/pervy/sinister!). Tis a little drawing of a skeptic gag which I hope you find amusing.
That will be a little present for you for giving me a great show this Sunday 🙂 It would be very honourable to see you in person.
Have fun in Glasgow, and if you see any neds, please feel free to hypno-freeze their feet to the ground for your own amusement.
James.
that is a great looking poster/billboard. who designed it? love to have one.
if you ever do a show here in Austin, TX, I recommend the beautiful Paramount Theater.
Radio interviews. Simon Mayo on 5 Live by any chance? He’s won another Sony Award since you were on last year and congratulated him several times.
I told my children when i got home what I saw…. social services are now involved …. Thanks…
I was one of the people to see the first night in Newcastle and I thought the finale was tremendous! Yeh, so the lights weren’t great, but I hardly noticed to be honest, was too much in awe.
Thanks for signing my programme (next time it’ll be a breast!) and for letting me and my niece kiss you on the cheek – we know how pushed for time you were xxx
Hey Derren, Thank you so much for coming out to see me on Monday to sign the fantastic Portraits book and again after the show on Wednesday for the photo. The show was just awesome. Hurry up and get a new show started (that’ll only take 10mins eh?) as I’m struggling for something to look forward too in the same way.You are quite simply, awesome. Thanks again (you too coops) .
Derren,
(if you get to read this ).
Sophie loved the card you sent through the letter box the following morning ;P Though, sadly you lost an eyeball on the journey, she was still delighted that ‘Dirren the wizard’ took the time to send her birthday wishes.
Thank you, she had a really special 4th birthday.
and thank you again for the fantastic show that evening, just brilliant.
Nicky
x
changing the subject, Derren I’m annoyed with you! hubby and I have always been huge fans, and he once told me you were my “get out of jail” card if you get my meaning? 😉 because he could understand how a woman would find you totally fascinating (I’m convinced there’s hidden messages in that book)! on discovering this was highly unlikely, I’ve given him Samantha Fox as his “get out of jail card”. lol. keep up the amazing work, and if you ever feel the need for an apprentice, I’m your gal! x
Thanks so much Derren
The show last night was great a christmas present well worth the wait, although it was quite scary when i realised how long i’d been a fan (Since Mind Control).Unfortunatly i couldn’t stay behind afterwards, had to get the last train back to E.K. But anyway next tour i’ll be there to pester and question you. 😉
JAM
saw you in oxford… was amazing 😀 great finale!! x
Hey … wanted to say enjoyed your show Wednesday night Newcastle – loved it !!! I really enjoyed your show it was very good and I am genuinely fascinated how well and how you interpret tension/muscle tone, thanks Derren, Jen
