“A baffling, bamboozling and beautifully bewitching display of devilry. When it comes to eye-popping illusions Brown is the only game in townâ€
****Evening Standard
Be prepared for a theatrical roller-coaster ride as the acknowledged master of psychological illusion returns to the West End with his 2012 Oliver-nominated show DERREN BROWN: SVENGALI. This is the last chance to see the sell-out live show that has mesmerized the nation, performing in over 150 venues
SVENGALI will reside at the Novello Theatre from July 12 – Aug 11 2012.
Derren, who professes that he loves writing and performing on stage more than anything else, says:
“”I enjoy the stage shows more than anything else. This one is fun, dark, funny, freaky. Live on stage is the best place for what I do: it’s unpredictable, and the audience knows there’s no possibility of judicious editing. Plus we’ve put in new material for this year and the show has grown and changed on the road more than any other.”
Svengali is written by Derren Brown and Iain Sharkey with Stephen Long and produced by Michael Vine, Andrew O’Connor & Corrie McGuire for Objective Talent Management.
Hi !
Has the Svengali show already been filmed for TV/DVD or
will it be filmed during the 27 West End performances ?
Thanks,
Daniel
Bring a Svengali show to America!!!!
Can you reserve seats for the public?
Will it possible to buy tickets from abroud???
Daniel,
No doubt Abeo will reply but Derren’s live shows are usually filmed for TV in the second year of touring, druing the London run/ I’m pretty sure it will be the same for Svengali.
Paulina – I’m sure friends of mine have bought tickets from abroad for live shows before. Check with the venue you want to see the show at.
I look forward to seeing Svengali again if I am lucky enough to get tickets for London run… Every where else I wanted to book was sold out. (Seen it twice already last year).
Whadya mean don’t be greedy?!
Msg from Abeo: It’s likely to be filmed at some point, but not confirmed where.
Hope I can get tickets for the show. Seems like they sell out almost immediately. Love Derren’s stuff and looking forward to more.
Yay! So excited! After struggling to get tickets from everywhere I’m so glad I’ve finally managed to secure some in London! After bein an avid Derren fan for many years this will be my first show! 😀
I’m so thrilled that Svengali has been nominated for another Olivier Award….I knew it would happen…Derren must be thrilled but Iain must be euphoric to say the least… Congratulations to you both and good luck for the 15th April Sue x
Thanks for your answers Sabina and Abeo !
I very well undertsand your greediness Sabina 😉 hope you can see the show again this year !
Paulina, being from France, I can tell you that you can book a ticket for Svengali even if you’re abroad.
Last year I booked online to see the show in Stoke-on-Tent.
There was some technical problem with the informatics system and I had to phone to complete my booking but I got my ticket and the person who answered my call was lovely.
I resisted buying tickets as I’ve already seen the show twice, but I’m certain that the people lucky enough to have bought some will be in for a treat!
I went to see Svengali in Blackpool on 3rd April. Derren was amazing and baffling I couldn’t believe what I was seeing! Anyone who manages to get tickets is in for a treat. I booked my tickets months before the show though; not much chance of anyone getting some for London now! Worth trying though; good luck!
I so hope it will be filmed so that those of us fans from abroad get to see the show as well. I can’t wait to buy the DVD!
Try for tickets in Aylesbury waterside theatre. It’s just 25 miles from London. I have bought some for their. The show is going on their for a week and it’s a brand new theatre so is really big which has spare seats Still avalible
Abeo, hope you don’t mind me asking if there’s any confirmation you can give about when and where (i’m presuming london?) the filming of Svengali will take place. Any particular date/s? Because obviously i’m not trying to book my london tickets on a day of filming so that i can have the tiniest chance of appearing on TV with Derren – my hero and the most exquisite being on the planet – and forever be able to look back on the experience via a DVD….. nooo, who would want that! He He. If you have any info about it i would be enormously grateful, it would kill me to miss out on it if it’s happening in london.
Also is there any cut off date for applying to take part in Derren’s new TV project?
Thanks,
Leanne x
Msg from Abeo: Filming already happened.
