The Mirror and the Sun are correct. I’ve just got up, or you’d have got it earlier yourselves. I shall try and predict at least 5 out of the 6 balls correctly. I apologise now if it goes boobs-up.
This the culmination of a LOT of secret work and research. On Weds night, live at 10.35 pm, it will cut across all Channel 4 channels, and be broadcast on buildings in
• London – Tate Modern
• Manchester – Premier Lodge(back-up Deansgate Lock)
• Birmingham– 5-ways Entertainment Complex/Bull-ring (Moor St Side as back-up)
• Edinburgh– Hunter Square(back-up Museum of Scotland)
Then, on the first Friday night EVENTS one-hour special (9pm, C4, Fri 11th), I’ll show you how I did it.
The following Fridays will offer other ambitious live or interactive stunts and treats:
– A subliminal piece of media that will stick you to your seats at home.
– A nationwide psychic experiment
– A casino-related scam with a twist.

Ive been counting down the days with you Derren…..really looking forward to Wednesday night.
I’ve thought for a while now that this will done by taking advantage of the slight delay on the “live” BBC broadcast, maybe by getting some Channel4 techys to air your broadcast directly live (without the standard several second delay).
However, Derren being Derren, i’ve got a feeling there will be a LOT more to it than that!!

I wouldn’t be surprised if this wasn’t a variant on the old wires scam made famous by the film The Sting. the lottery results aren’t broadcast exactly live. they have to go up on a satellite before being distributed on the tv transmitters. All Derren has to do is get the signal a few seconds before you do to have appeared to “predict” the results.
PS I am amazed at the number of people saying Good Luck. Surely one of Derren’s life goals is to show that there is no such thing
Ok silly question number one. What time does the ACTUAL draw take place? I am not talking the broadcast time, i mean the time the balls one by one fall from the machine with the independant witness taking the notes?
So everyone going to be tucked up at home watching or anyone going to the locations?

Is this the “lotto” draw as opposed to one of the many spin-offs there seem to be now? Just want to make sure I buy the right kind of ticket!! Doubt it will be the numbers shown on the websites but we can hope!

yeah… I will definitely check this one out.. I did try the lottery once.. when it was about 300 mill… but… I only got 2 numbers.. 🙁

The only way I will believe this is if Derren is at Lottery HQ and predicting the balls before they drop. If he’s watching through a TV screen, then the chances of video/audio delays being added destroy the effect.

I am a HUGE fan living on the other side of the world in Australia, and can’t wait even for the possibility of this going to DVD… I am unable to use 4OD or iTunes as i am not a UK resident nor do i have a UK billing Address…. surely there is a legitimate & honest way of veiwing Derren’s amazing achievments…

Wow. It’ll certainly have me watching. To protect against ‘career breaking’, you should get yourself a percentage cut from the Lottery. I bet they sell a few more tickets this week.
Tempted to fly to the UK just to see this… REALLY tempted. Stupidly so.
To complete my comment above, that is not to say that there will be another person that might get the correct number as well, meaning you will have to split the winnings, meaning you just lost 7 mil, if not more (if more than 2 people win).

Recieved my signed Enigma tour poster this morning and then saw the details released about the Events, what an exciting mornning. Now I can finally tell my family about my involvement in episode 2 without having to worry about saying anything I shouldn’t be telling them! I saw an ad for the Events in the cinema the where I work the other day there and it looked amazing.

Fun times. I had to laugh at frizfrizzle’s comment – my first thought on seeing this was that Jonathan Creek got there first on the basic trick and reveal of method….
Although the principle (if not the method or technology) of the explanation is presumably simples and in fact potentially rather obvious the explanation programme has quite a few interesting topics to explore – I see a Derren visit to a certain kind of bookies that are equiped with computer terminals coming on……..

I’ve just been looking on the channel 4 site… and someone is saying that you’ll know the results by being delayed.
AFAIK the lottery results show is recorded and goes out… can you confirm you will be live (by some sort of proof) and that the lottery results have not been released…
I am so excited…. good luck to all the team (espcially coops and derren)..
